GiffGaff

Replaced my mobile contract with a GiffGaff sim, using their £10 a month Goodybag deal which includes 500 minutes cross network minutes, unlimited texts, 1 GB data and free GiffGaff to GiffGaff calls and video calls. And not only this all 0800, 0300 numbers are free and 0345 are included in my allowance. Which seems better than all the main stream providers and it is mega cheap. Well chuffed with it so far. Good signal levels too, better than my old EE contract phone anyway.

Just to give you a heads-up, they are increasing their prices very soon.

Indeed they are which is why I shall be leaving them.

Calls to giffgaff voicemail cost and don't come out your allowance (just in case you weren't aware)

For people who don't use that much, particularly data then £10 is pretty good value.

Not across all their tariffs. The OP's package will still cost the same with the same benefits. I'm on the same deal through Giff Gaff...they are great. All my family and friends are now on Giff Gaff and we get to talk to each other for free as well :D Big smiles all round!!

Even with the price increases you'll still be hard pushed to get as good a deal elsewhere.

Just for clarity, I have called my voice mail with no charge as I had no credit just a goodybag.

Also the £10 plan is not increasing and as it gives me everything I need I am very happy.

    Apologies. My mistake

I think that giffgaff is pretty good but no longer provides what I need at the relevant cost.
  • Wait until something isn't working properly and you'll find out why the community help and support system or the agents are totally useless.
I've just kicked them into touch after only a month because of the lack of customer service i.e. no way to get help other than the methods mentioned above.
The prices are comparatively good and that's about all I found.

I only ever use about 30 texts a month, no calls and no data- and Giffgaff are brilliant. £5 per month, free calls to voicemail.

I had been with Virgin for about 10 years and tried and tried to get them to reduce the cost, to no avail. They wouldn't go below £10 per month which was making the texts very expensive!

Giffgaff very easy to change too and half the price- hurrah!

£5 a month for 30 text message and voicemail?

You must use voicemail a lot to find that good value.
