Hospital Complaint For Breach Of Equality Act 2010

Bully for the Trust in supplying a higher than the recommended number of disabled parking spots. Do the (lack of brains) Trust not understand that by the very nature of it's employ, a hospital deals with many more people in the disabled bracket than any other facility.
Agree with C-M. The GPEOL will doubtless cover the usual business costs as well as appeals procedures. The daft b******s will swallow it anyway.0 -
Due to the lack of response to my email from dinner time today, I have drafted this. Does it sound reasonable?I am extremely disappointed given the serious nature surrounding the issue of the contract, that no one bother to respond or even acknowledge my email from earlier today.
As I stated it is unacceptable to treat a question about a previous FOI as a new FOI. It is either the correct contract or it’s not. If it’s not you have breached the FOI Act yet again, by supplying false information and not correctly answering the FOI within the proscribed timelines and if it is the correct contract then you have more serious issues to deal with.
I need a definitive answer by the end of Tuesday 2 Dec 14 or I will assume that you have indeed sent me the correct contract and that there is no valid contract in place with APCOA Parking (UK) Ltd and yourselves and I will report both the Trust and APCOA to the police for fraudulently obtaining money.0 -
OK, two things:
(i) It would be your local court; the general principle that the private individual's choice of court wins holds whether you are bringing a case or defending one
(ii) I would go with the assumption that the correct contract is not in place; you asked for the contract, that's what they gave you, you are entitled to take them at their word (but I can't see the police being interested, "that would be a civil matter sir"). It's a matter for the BPA, DVLA, the ICO and Trading Standards.Je suis Charlie.0 -
Thanks Baz. I knew it was my local court if it was them suing me, but wasn't sure if was the same, the other way around.
I have pressed the Trust again today for a simple yes or no on answer on whether it is the correct contract and as yet have not answered.
I have also emailed the DVLA twice, once on Friday and again last night and still no response. I used the email address in the 'newbies' thread, ccrt@dvla.gsi.gov.uk is that still the correct address? In my email to them I also included a FOI, so they haven't acknowledge that either.
I will contact Trading Standards also.0 -
My main concern about the Trust taking so long to answer, is that they suddenly realise they have sent me the 'wrong' contract and find the 'correct' one, where the ink is still wet from 2008 or whenever...0

Cashflow problems throughout the group and companies wanting longer to pay off their debts; probably explains why the accounts are overdue.
Apcoa Parking UK is owned by Apcoa Parking Holdings UK Ltd, which in turn is owned by Apcoa parking Holding GMBH (a German company).0 -
Sorry another noddy question. Just been on the Trading Standards webpage and it say's I need to go through CAB to report this, do I do it that way or through the Action Fraud website or is there another way?0

So taking inspiration from Martin's (I'm assuming that's your name :rotfl:) thread, I have just sent the Trust the following FOI:
I would be grateful if you could provide me with the following under the Freedom of Information Act:
1. Can you please give me a full breakdown of what the £126,890.73 was paid to APCOA for in 2013/14?
2. Can you please give me a full breakdown of what the other £93,851.72 and 7,075.68 was paid to APCOA by the Trust for in 2013/14?
3. How much did the Trust receive from Staff for parking in 2013/14? How much was retained by the Trust and how much of it was paid to APCOA? What services do APCOA provide to Staff parking to justify this sum?
4. In your reply to question 3 below, you state that APCOA pays the Trust annual fee how much was this fee for 2013/14 for Northwick Park Hospital and the Trust as whole?
5. Given that your car parks are run by APCOA for a profit, can you please confirm if Business Rates are applicable in your car parks and if so, who’s responsibility it is to pay these? If it is the Trust can you please confirm how much you have paid for 2013/14?
6. Is the Trust paying APCOA (and therefore being invoiced) the VAT due on charges that are being levied by APCOA?
7. Other than slapping tickets on peoples cars, what other services are APCOA contracted to do in regards to parking management? How do you monitor they are achieving this?
8. How many parking tickets were issued by APCOA in 2013/14 and 1 Apr 14 at Northwick Parks Hospital and how many of them were related to disabled people/blue badge holders?
9. How many complaints has the Trust received about APCOA in 2013/14 and 1 Apr 14 to today?
The reply to the above FOI request was due today and I am sure you will all be shocked to hear that they have yet again failed to respond on time to a FOI. :rotfl:0 -
