Hospital parking

Latest update:
They are still several weeks behind in issuing permits. However, some people (not me) have received warning letters stating that the 'next time' they will get a penalty for parking without a permit. It seems they are a bit over-zealous, inasmuch as the Management haven't told them to start enforcing yet!
I also notice that all around the hospital grounds there are notices regarding parking, but there is nothing specific at either of the two entrances to the hospital. There is also a big banner inside the hospital advising that if you overstay your paid time (visitors), then you can pay for extra time before you leave.
Is it necessary for there to be a notice on the entrance to the car park, or are notices all around the parking area sufficient (difficulty to miss).Thank you for reading this message.0 -

Yes it is. That is one of the few signage matters concerning which the BPA Code of Practice is categorical.Je suis Charlie.0 -
As far as I am aware, entrance signage is mandatory, and it must be of a specific style and contain specific information. (The details of T&Cs can be on signage within the car park, but there must be entrance signage to advise motorists of the nature of the car park).0

From the BPA Code of Practice18.2 Entrance signs play an important part in establishing a
parking contract and deterring trespassers. Therefore,
as well as the signs you must have telling drivers about
the terms and conditions for parking, you must also have
a standard form of entrance sign at the entrance to the
parking area. Entrance signs must tell drivers that the car
park is managed and that there are terms and conditions
they must be aware of. Entrance signs must follow some
minimum general principles and be in a standard format.
The size of the sign must take into account the expected
speed of vehicles approaching the car park, and it is
recommended that you follow Department for Transport
guidance on this. See Appendix B for an example of an
entrance sign and more information about their use.0 -

There is plenty of signage. By the staff car parks it says that you must be registered on the hospital system and display your permit. They 'threaten' a fine of £100 !
Underneath thee is a lot of writing in very small print. I wasn't going to strain my eyes to read it. However, if it said something important, eg only cars with a reg no. that is an even number can park !!!), presumably this would be deemed unfair at POPLA ?
This is the point at which I would withdraw my services as a volunteer and explain in writing why, listing all the underhand tactics this unethical company use against the sick, the infirmed, the elderly, the disabled, and the vulnerable.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

If it were me I would still tell him/her before this meeting that I was withdrawing my services giving the reasons I have already mentioned unless and until all parking charges are cancelled and the ppc is kicked out.
Then I would find somewhere else to volunteer that appreciated my contribution.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

In theory yes if we all did it. However, we as volunteers are being given a free permit. Staff have to pay for them on a scale according to their salary.Thank you for reading this message.0 -

This is parking lie we are talking about. If you fail to display your permit you will get a PCN. I would cut all my ties with the hospital, explain why, and walk away. I don't shop anywhere where parking lie mismanage a car park. If an establishment is stupid enough to use this unethical company I won't use that establishment.
As I said, this is what I would do in this situation. No offence meant towards you for whatever decision you make.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Several times you've used the words FINE and PENALTY in this thread.
Parking Eye and/or the hospital are not really using those words are they?0
