A vent about people who vent after the "incident" but said nothing at the time

Why are there so many posts about people who had really poor service and then come on here and complain and mention how they've written this letter and that ?
If you have bad service then tell the person there and then.
You wont get anything, because if they were that sort of company then their employees wouldn't suck so much, so don't bother trying.
But why not just tell them how poor they are to their face that would be more satisfying.
Yes you can email and say to another person in a completely different part of the country how a member of staff they will never meet in their life was really rude to you and what are they going to do about it, but the answer is - a lot of CCTV sadly doesn't have sound now does it, so it really is one persons word against anothers.
I have to think that if a person is really like this then I could well imagine how they behaved in the shop in the first place and no doubt attracted like for like.
I'm not venting at people who complain, I mean you pay for a service and you should get it. But either complain at the time and have your say, or let it go.

Couldnt agree more!
Just wait for the onslaught of the 'woe is me' and 'why should we put with...' brigade.0 -
Well, you do say that there's probably no point expressing your dissatisfaction to the person causing it. Satisfying, but pointless. Surely warning others is better, then?
It's pretty much accepted that a dissatisfied customer will tell a lot more people of their experience than a satisfied one. Ergo, you P your customer off, you expect to get slated. Simple really. My TV is broken!

Thats the theory.
The biggest mouths tend to talk to more people, hence the spread of bad experience.
What baffles me is that the same big mouths dont speak up at the point of incident. They tend to sniffle around and dissapear then whinge to everyo e who'll listen.......and read.0 -
I thought of something else.
I'm not a confident or a confrontational person. If someone treats me badly in a shop, I'm not about to escalate things beyond my ability to cope with the argument.
Short term, far better to back away, and persue matters in a way that works for me (angry letters)My TV is broken!

friv...fay
I totally get that, and it works. It's not easy if you're standing at a queue getting longer by the second...
I'd like to post my own rant on people posting rants.... what really gets me is people who post a rant, log off, and disappear. Why??????? I don't get it.0 -
Who knows.
Perhaps you could create a new thread on the subject.
Anyway, if you have an issue then deal with it at the time. Period. No not that type of0 -

I do deal with problems at the time but sometimes I still wanna come home and slag said retailer off just to vent. (Hence the name of the board).
That said people who witter on about compensation for distress/time/etc etc do pee me off slightly.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
