I spose my grammar is as bad as my spelling. I meant you said i had missed the boat. So I think I'm going to have to pay!
Don't be daft - don't compound your errors so far by actually being scammed for money. STOP. I know babies melt your brain a tad (I'm a Mum of four kids myself) but come on - who said anything about paying the scumbags?

You missed POPLA, big deal. What do you think everyone did before POPLA existed two years ago? Well on all forums, EVERYONE ignored fake PCNs; I did and so did everyone else. All you have done is exposed yourself to months of junk mail from debt collectors - it's NOT worth paying them off to avoid a few silly letters! The only letter to take seriously would be court papers which almost never arrive and this PPC is not known for it.

Relax, get a plastic file or ring binder and KEEP all the letters - don't bin them in case you ever have to come back here. But we don't need to hear about every letter ... please. You can read about the entire letter chain to expect, when you get the first debt collector letter, by Googling the name of the debt collector firm and the word 'parking'. And no, debt collectors are not bailiffs so don't let those clueless people you asked what to do, tell you otherwise:

That's the position. Buy something for you and the baby instead!

  • Here we go again.. Not me -phew-but my son had one of their lil parky tickets stuck to his car this morning in a hotel carpark where he stayed the night. His friend text/emailled the car reg thru - as per the crappy unlit sign says to - and off they went to sleep. Im now in the process of doing a letter to NPE Ltd to appeal but judging by the posts on here it seems a waste of time as they will reject it. The Hotel was The Lodge on Unthank Road in Norwich which is something to do with MJB Hotels. Its a £60 fine which goes to £100 in 14 days AND a £2.50 for using credit OR debit card. Cheeky !!!!!!s.
Anyway my son is panicking about bailiffs etc etc and wants to pay and draw a line, but I - his mum - says nooooooooooooooo we fight!

Comment? Advise? or am I just getting old and doddery and be shoved into a Home?

Well done for putting him right about fighting it.

Bad form for hijacking a thread. Read the NEWBIES guide and then (IF you still need advice) start your own new thread.

    1) Im now in the process of doing a letter to NPE Ltd to appeal

    2) but judging by the posts on here it seems a waste of time as they will reject it.

doesnt look like you read the NEWBIES sticky thread and you have hijacked somebody elses thread too

    but, here are my thoughts

    1) , WRONG, you wait for the NTK and then appeal as RK

    2) SO WHAT ? , the whole point is to get a POPLA code if they dont cancel

    3) cannot happen unless the RK was taken to court, lost, and didnt pay the judgement within 28 days, so total fiction

    4) only pay if a judge says you or the RK should pay

appeal and fight (at the right time) is the correct course of action, as is starting your own thread, ;) lol

also complain the the landowner for a cancellation
  • Omg Im so sorry about "hijacking". Seems that I should be placed in a home......! Will now go and read the NEWBIEs bit and get some lessons on using a computer....

Awwww sorry you were jumped on but you don't appeal YET, the driver does NOT appeal as they are not in such a strong position in law as the keeper! Please use the Forum Jump (bottom right of this page) to read the stickies, including the NEWBIES thread on how to play this to win. So glad you haven't let your son pay the scam.

Do start a new thread after you have read the NEWBIES sticky thread if you need more help, but basically it's time to complain to the retailers for a month or so, while you await the NTK letter. We assume you are in England or Wales therefore POPLA will be the way to win...for the registered keeper.
