Glad to make you laugh today, and to hear you are feeling a bit better Cumbria lass :)
Great minds think alike Puzz :) I'm always up for saving on heating bills :rotfl: Good thing about winter is that even for work I've been wearing thick tights and boots and Noone was any the wiser ;)

So...... for the first time ever, consultant didn't check joints , so I did my legs for nothing :( But appt good and having been in limbo land for the last 6-8 months with no improvement , we have a good plan to eliminate some possible options so by next appt we will know hopefully whether to increase dose/try different med.

Other than that not a very productive day -
Didn't get myself organised to go to bank, as was so busy doing my legs, so that will need to be done later this week. Posted letter to creditor though.

Going into the city to meet sister tomorrow after school drop off, she'll decide where we'll go etc but I'll treat her for her birthday. Possibly gallery or an exhibition etc plus lunch :) Train fare will be nearly £30 return, plus approx £10 parking, plus whatever we do so it will be a pricey day, but we are all trying to make a conscious effort to put our sad year behind us.

    Off to bed now.

Glad your appointment went well NOA, and have a lovely day tomorrow. Enjoy :)
    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy

    Thank you Chrystal :)
We had a lovely day today - managed to get into the city by 10.15 and had met up with sis before 11, just in time for coffee and danish pastries :) then spent a couple of hours at exhibition at a nat gallery, followed by an hour in a bar over a drink, followed by a hour browse around Cov Gdn, followed by long late lunch, then home on train by 8pm.
plus just under 10K steps :) Now going to have a long soak, as very achy.
oh to be a rich lady of leisure :rotfl:

Back to a being a no disposable income available lady of working tomorrow :( :rotfl:

A rather blustery day today . Just had a wander around the garden.

and hundreds of snowdrops which were swaying too much for focus.
Spring has sprung in my garden :)

    Just opened today's mail.
There are 2 reduced offers for Full and final settlement
one for 40% discount on debt of 3450
the other for 55% discount on debt of 8100 (just 2 months ago they offered 40% discount!).

I haven't asked for these - they just sent them!
Can't really afford to pay them yet, I want to be closer to end of school fees/ paying off mortgage £95K of which is on interest only with under 10 years to go) before I take up. On the other hand would it be less headache burden if there were fewer creditors involved?
(This would take our non priority debt down from 66 to 55K).

Am thinking not to be tempted yet?

Just trying to get my head around F&F settlements....
If it shows on your credit record as partially settled, does it - the debt - still clear off the records after 6 years after initial default?

not too good at this :o

So, Not much tax stuff done, but caught up on a load of emails and spoke to bank who received my letter yesterday.
Refunded the 4 months interest, and account now frozen O/D removed so in 3-4 months that will default (2 years after the other accounts with same bank).
It transpires that each time they refunded the interest it kept me within the O/D limit, so account always was just inside the limits. I asked why somebody had not noticed that in the past, that the only transaction made was my small payment going in each month and that it was not likely to improve.

Not total success, so might leave the back dating default battle to a later date, at least for now I know that it is heading in the right direction.
