Sorting probate is never fun...but glad you're getting through it. Your dad would have understood I am sure..he loved you and that's what matters. We all make mistakes..he did, but maybe in different places. The main thing is he'd be proud of you facing into it and dealing with the debt

You are right Brizzle, thank you. The main thing he wanted us to be was independent - and that I am sometimes to a fault.

Have got my head round most of it. When I made phone calls last week, they tried to sell a fixed fee package to deal with it all - just under £2K. They called back today to see how I wanted to proceed. In the meantime I have done lots of research etc . Was told transfer of property would costs hundreds in solicitors fees etc. After digging around on lots of sites, have confirmed that as they were jointly owned it is just a single form to be sent off, and no cost!! So sad how many people would have been caught out by this, at a vulnerable time. admitted it has taken time, but it will have saved mum 2K. :money:

Lots more to do today, also another quote to send off.
Pleased with my efforts last wee as have kept on top of all new stuff, so no more paper added to existing backlog. :T

    Have a good week everyone.

Its going to be a busy couple of weeks, high anxiety levels, visiting various family with mum, don't really want to but has to be done, so won't be around much.
    Wishing everyone a happy time.
