Good article by author Ewan Morrison on why he joined and subsequently left YES campaign. He is spot on on the way things have been for the yes campaign.

This is a must read article. I hadn't seen it till I read this post by InvestInPoker and clicked through. It is well worth reading the whole piece ( it's not too long).0 -
Just in case anyone still thought a currency union might happen, the sovereign will of the English, Welsh and N. Irish seems to be opposed 2:1.

Rather OT, Boris is providing some light entertainment, but Yes seem to be suffering from a sense of humour failure.

I'm genuinely interested to know why you think independence is the answer.
What undisputed benefits can independence give that devolution cannot and how will those benefits be sufficent to overcome the negatives such as increased costs of running a small country?
Maybe a discussion on why all the points in post #383 are wrong would be usefulRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

In fairness,I agree with a lot of it

Interesting. I'm not sure how it advances the case for independence for Scotland though.InvestInPoker wrote: »Originally posted by "ash28" in another thread on a different part of this board but spot on the money and deserves to be reposted here.

From that article
The irony of the statements below seem to have missed those in the Yes campaign:
"create a world leading Green economy, "
"exploit oil to the full and become world leading petro-chemical economy"
Really?

I have also read independence will see an increase in air travel between the rUK and Scotland.God save the King!

I have been mainly disappointed by the No campaigns negative campaigning.
However this morning in a speech to (Labour supporters?) in Clydebank, Gordon Brown made a positive case for voting No.
He mentioned how Scottish people through history have changed the union so that it is fairer.
He also repeated the point that it is possible to be a proud Scot and proud of being British.
A nice change.0 -

.... swings & roundabouts or a net increase from a carbon viewpoint?, hard to call, but you can be sure that it would cost taxpayers in iScotland more and rUK less ..."We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then is not an act, but a habit. " ...... Aristotle0 -
The Herald have come out in support of No (kind of) - didn't expect to see that:

Doubtless some organisations will relocate south of the border but many wont, but people have all sorts of reasons for wishing to travel.
The Scottish government has also said they intend to lower airport duty.God save the King!

A very heart-felt plea from Canada. Almost brought a tear to my eye.
