Easy free £10 for Egg customers, fiddly free £10 for everyone else

It used to say on the Egg site that no one on a Mac would be able to use EMM. It now says it works on a Mac with Windows OS and Internet Explorer. (though why anyone using a mac would in their right mind switch to Windows OS when they have Apple's far superior inbuilt OS - Tiger…)
Microsoft's own website says it stopped developing IE for mac in 2003 and hasn't supported IE for mac since 2005. So anyone on a mac can't download IE to use anyway. As I type this I'm not sure if someone with a Mac and using Windows OS would therefore be able to use IE and then access EMM, but if they can't then this £10 is unobtainable for Mac users.
Anyone else shed any light on this?
Since Apple switched to using Intel processors in their computers it has been possible to install a Windows OS onto the Mac hardware, anyone who has done this will be able to use EMM on their Mac provided they are booted into Windows as for all intents and purposes it's essentially a Windows PC and would run the regular Windows version of IE. The Mac version of IE that Microsoft no longer develop/support was/is designed to install onto the Mac OS.
It's being used to try and boost the switchers market, a lot of people won't go to Macs as some things just don't work on them, being able to run Windows and OS X on the same computer helps encourage them to make the leap0 -
I have also been a money manager user for sometime now and think it a reallu useful tool. The details are all stored on your computer, when i tried to access it form my mum's computer it would not pick up the information. Its very easy and simple to use!0

Does anyone know if having a loan with Egg is a way to get the tenner if I download the manager or do I have to get a savings account first?Official DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T

Ok, so far so good. I've registered for my savings account but can't see it on screen yet. Do I have to wait long? And should I wait for it to show before I add in money manager?Official DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T

Alliance & Leicester are also offering a free £10 for downloading software on to your mobile phone which enables you to check your statement amongst other things on your mobile. Its called Monilink. I say its free, but it actually costs you a few pence to download the software, and you also have to use the service at least once to qualify for the tenner which may also cost you a few pence (for those who know how to you may be able to use an bluetooth internet pass through or wifi instead of GPRS or WAP if your phone is compatible). A&L account holders can find out how to do it in the "My News" section when they login.0

Just tried registering and after entering name etc. and a password message advises that my log in details have not been recognised! Am I correct in clicking on register then log in to enter details or is something not working as it should?0

I already use Money Manager so it seems I miss out on the £10.
Incidentally it only works using Internet Explorer, not FireFox0 -
FYI, the Egg Saver account can be opened instantly online - so if you're worried about not getting this done before the end of the month, open that first. I signed up from scratch as a non-Egg customer and finished Egg Money all within about 20-25 minutes, not bad for £10...0

Same for me!! Applied for Egg Saver account after midnight & next day received email informing my account was available online. Had no problems installing & operating Egg Money. Now just need to wait for the £10.......0
