Thanks cookie, went to a mini yoga day today (mini because it was half a day) which was interesting and the meditation was good!
Have seen a cottage for sale that I love, before we bought this house I had fallen in love with the cottage next door to the one thats now for sale. All I need is £20k for a deposit, will then rent it until we are ready to downsize in many years! Ah yes, that 20k is the main hurdle, no idea how we would get that apart from a loan which would defeat the object!haha. Will continue dreaming!
Have been coming up with plans for 2017 which I will share after this bunch of nights I think!

Hello Jodles. I hope you find a way to get to your dream cottage.
Really looking forward to hearing about your 2017 plans.

I have to slap myself regularly for looking at property. with neighbours being noisy (drumming) lodger singing, I was feeling grumpy and went on right move . there are very few detached houses in our area
, unless I increase our mortgage by another £100k !! defeats the object really... and makes me work until I'm 65Mortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20220 -
Thanks MT! I think its a dream to be honest, mortgage would be so tiny compared to ours but hubby loves this house and in fairness, it is lovely! Cottage would be tiny but pretty!
Hey MFD, I avoid rightmove as I love looking at houses way too much! Had done so well avoiding it, but we drove past the cottage and when I saw it was for sale couldnt help myself...haha. No more rightmove...thats my chant for 2017!! haha.
Happy New Year to all, I have to say 2016 wasnt a bad year for me, so hopefully more of the same from this year!

So I decided to look at the past two January's we have lived in the house to look at comparisons!
January 2015- £183,684.09
January 2016- £176,856.46
January 2017- £167,347.80
Thats a whopping reduction of £16336.29 in two years and £9508.66 in a year! Largely helped but the extra 2k we threw at the mortgage on top of other OPs and the new lower rate!

So the hubby and I have come up with some basic and hopefully do-able house aims for 2017:
- [STRIKE]Finish painting bedroom wall[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Put up pictures[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Collect wire from friends[/STRIKE]- hubby collected this a few weeks ago
- Put wire up around the field bit as the dogs can easily get out-luckily they dont want to, but you never know!Waiting for time off together and decent weather!
- Finish decked area on old chassis- will need to wait for my dad to do his decking so we can have the left overs!
- Move gate posts- I want the gate to be inline with the house so that the big picture window looks straight into the field not the fence!
- Paint bathrooms- goodness knows, I hate painting!
- Tile kitchen- we feel we may like to try this ourselves!
- Figure out how to make the bottom of the tiny house
- Fix front door- it swells so much in atumn/winter we cant use it!!
- Look into getting the fire installed

Try harder you have done amazingly this year, dont sell yourself short!
Have been investigating Paris ideas, have booked the Catacombs, doing a small group tour which goes behind the scenes, its not cheap but hopefully will be well worth it. Also have booked hop on and off bus tickets in advance as well. All from holiday savings so far!
Have been watching man vs food, we think we will save up and go somewhere in America after this years holidays! I love adventuring!
Still not got a start date, hoping to hear soon!
Have started on MFP again, will see how I get on. Have booked a two hour group session about how to break the overeating pattern with a psychologist, hoping it may help!
