It would be a fab lifestyle wouldn't it MFD! I love the idea of tiny house living but not sure I actually have the mentality for it, a tiny cottage maybe!haha.

I have applied for a new job, feeling fed up and stressed with this job. Everything crossed I will get it, would feel such as sense of achievement to hand in my notice...It feels odd as this job is convenient but zaps me and leaves me without satisfaction but as hubby is away I am always here for the dogs. We were saying this week it is more important that I keep my sanity than stay in a job I dislike where they are being very rude at the moment! Will be looking to work three nights a week so not full time but this should be workable with hubbies work and the dogs would be better overnight on their own compared to on their own all day (family would come in in the evening and again early in the morning before I get home). Will be a shock to earn less and do nights but I hope I get the chance to try it.

Will mess up mortgage free plan, but hopefully will still be able to overpay with the new cheaper rate! Watch this space!

I'm sorry you are feeling stressed, the job often turns that way... come work with me :D however i can guarentee stress. :o I'm fortunate I've managed to get a bit specialist to reduce stress.. however OT means i'm on the shop floor and chasing my tails.

Good luck, ooo i'd love 3 nights :D

Thanks MFD! I feel we would have a great time working together! Lots of MFW chats going on! Havent heard from that job but there is another one which I have an interview for next Thursday and they know I am looking at 33hours a week, meaning three nights and they are looking for nights. Bizarely the guy I mentored in this job who left is now the deputy manager there! He is so lovely that I feel working for him would be a great thing, approachable and kind!

Bit confused with mortgage this month...New rate starts on 1st August, roll on £693.20 payments! This month the rate says 4% and £789.64 and that we are on the variable rate, this doesn't make sense as we were meant to finish the current mortgage on 31st July, hence new rate starting in August. I wont be complaining though as it is substantially less that normal OP of £933.75, will be so pleased to never pay that again!!

Have an interview tomorrow, everything crossed it goes well!

Have seen a tiny abused staffie desperate for a home which is currently in the pound soon to be PTS. I am so sad about it, he looks so tiny and it breaks my heart how many animals are PTS everyday as they have no where to go, I wish I could help but my big dog is reactive so hard work and little dog can be a grump! Seriously wondering if there is anything I can do, want that little staff to know what it feels like to be loved.....

    Mortgage is still confusing!

    Hello Jodles,

Good luck with your interview tomorrow. Is this one with the previous colleague you were mentoring?

You've made me want that Staff now too! Now I'm back to full time work I don't think it could be an option though! Such a terrible thought that its life is made up only of abuse and sadness!!!

Well done on the reduced payments and still battling through that mortgage.

It is that one yeah, week has gone quick! Have an interview with the NHS but its too far and I would be starting at the bottom of the pay scale and another home has offered me an interview, so hopefully something will come of it!

After talking to hubby again we are going to foster the staffie MT! It is very small and looks so sad in the pictures, he is going to be arriving on Monday after vaccines and microchipping at the vet, no idea if he will be able to mix with my two but we do have an outdoor kennel if he cant mix and if he can we will be getting a crate. I am nervous/excited! It may be very hard work if my big girl is too reactive!

Oh Jodles how lovely of you both. Hopefully your big girl will see something in the staff and surprise you all.

    good luck with doggie fostering..

Returning to the NHS is a huge dip in pay for some people.. I feel it has me by the throat until I'm 55... but thank god 55 still stands..

Friends who have been successful in returning have gone for band 6-7 equivalent posts in GP's surgeries. There are often training posts out there...
