    Welcome back Loopy-lou

    Morning all

In full worry wart mood this morning so don't hold out much hope of flying but who knows. I really must try to wash the kitchen floor.

 Wow Skinty - that's quite a list of achievements! Thanks for the sticks. I shall probably need to throw a few today and will keep the rest in reserve (all nicely stockpiled in the space outside the back door vacated by the hated barbecue which has now gone to a better place, ie church :D )

Yesterday I managed to do most of my planned jobs:
    - clean out and defrost the FF
-write some emails and make some phonecalls
    -sleep for 2 hours
    - and then - joy of joys! - re-cover the seat of my dainty antique chair without ruining it :)

I also had a nice evening out with 8 of the Old Wives: stood in the chippy with one good friend for half an hour while our order was cooked fresh (it was well worth the wait!), got soaked going back into the house, served up the food and rescued a couple of chips that fell off somebody's plate (purely in the interest of quality testing, you understand). I took my own boiled new potatoes with me and picked most of the delicious crunchy batter off the fish (it is SW weigh-in this morning) but then treated myself to a spoonful of delicious homemade crumble and custard :) To work off the extra calories I did all the WUDU except the coffee cups :rotfl:

The list of visitors coming to us for meals from Thursday onwards is growing, with DS1 now bringing his family for tea on Friday, but it will still mean only one major clean through the house on Thursday and a quick S&S all round on Saturday, and the SC will come into its own again. I do need to meal plan carefully and get myself organised, but that is well within my current capabilities. Today I feel a bit meehhh, but less than I did yesterday, so I will aim to
    - call in to see NDN about them coming for a meal sometime soon
    - spend the morning at SW with DH, who has tried really hard this week to stick to the plan :A
    - make 2 phonecalls
    - write 2 emails
    - sort DD's card and present and post the card
    - finalise an order for spring flowering bulbs on special offer :money:
    - hope that it stops raining long enough for me to screw the handle on the outdoor storage box (it looks as if it's set in for a few more hours :( )
    - do some paperwork
    - work out how to make a new hanging drawer (fabric on an existing wooden frame) for Granny's needlework table - might have to buy some plain silky fabric
    - do food shopping and other bits
    - wipe out the oven after cooking SW chips for this evening's meal ;)

That should keep me out of mischief...

Hope everyone has a good day x

  • Morning  I did get some sleep, nodded off some time after 6am. I became aware of my Builders presence outside some time after 7.30 but it took me til 8.15 to become conscious enough to hold a sensible conversation.

I forgot to mention yesterday's marathon flying session was only possible due to DD3 being on young Skint duty and [STRIKE] suffering [/STRIKE] watching Lilo and Stitch 7 times in a row at DD4's request. DD1 was exempt from young Skint Duty yesterday as she pulled an all nighter gaming session outside in the log cabin while watching the border for any incursions (yes I am well aware we are currently living in Paranoia Central, but it is going to be infinitely less hassle than dealing with Old William and/or house insurance etc)

I am waiting for caffeine to kick in so I am taking some R&R now while DD4 is having a lie in after her mammoth misog session in the small hours.

DD3 has got 2 loads of towels through the wash before DD1 surfaces to get her stuff done ready to fly tomorrow.

Right time to get on FB and crush some Candy (I haven't played it since before the summer hols started, so very very overdue!) I will aim to join in/catch up again at 11 ......toodles!

3rd cuppa being consumed along with hm flapjack as I've just spent an hour in the gym. Have decided not to bath the dogs today, will leave them till next weekend, a good grooming session will do.

I have washing on the line in the sunshine, and another two loads will follow.

Next, bath, hoover through, walk dogs, pop to shops.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Hello

Ironing all done, plus regretably caught my arm with the iron, so now it is red and sore.
    Mountsockmore sorted, OH helped.
    Wrk 2 done
Still raining here, even put gas fire on yesterday for an hour to take chill off the room.

Felling really tired and worn out atm, not helped by knowing I have to go to wrk 1 for training on my day off this afternoon, so I have 'suggested' that I come in late on Wednesday to make up for it..........
