Had a busy/ lovely day. Hubby let me have a lie in until 8.30, which I needed as I was falling asleep at 9pm last night!
Had a potter around and then took the boys swimming. Lovely time had by all! Then we picked my fil up and we went for lunch, did a few jobs, home for Lego building and tea drinking. Then OH cooked a lovely roast dinner and messed up my nice tidy kitchen! We had a crumble from the freezer that I had made last week and then I tidied everywhere while hubby took fil home.

Jobs wise I have done the following
    Dishwasher x2
    Wm x 1
    Tidied living room
Hunted for Lego pieces in ds's room, looked behind the bed, had heart failure, hubby and I moved it (a two man job even after taking off the mattress and taking out the drawers! Then hoovered behind it! No more fluff!

Bank Holiday Monday - kitchen and dining room
    Level one
Sweep and mop floors- will do tomorrow! Thought it would be rude to do this while fil was here and didn't have time to do before swimming!

    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Wipe worksurfaces and small appliances[/STRIKE]

    Level Three
    Clean out the fridge

  • Back again, been on a midnight flying and degibbling session. thank you ladies for last weeks list and this weeks.

Ionafan.......catapulting half a trees worth of sticks your way for the BD :grouphug:

Apologies for absence for latter end of last week, things have been kicking off big style with the Nasty NDN who has rowed at the crack of dawn on Saturday (well 7.30am) with the Builder that the EX contracted to do work on the Skint Pitz. Sunday they were abusive to DD1, then to me in front of nice NDN and two of their own contractors which I assertively brushed aside until.... the Big Skints and I were described as "F!lthy Cre@tures" and their Dad as a "Fre@k" and the Builder as a "H@m Fist£d C0wboy" followed with the intimation that they would drive us from our home and they were not going to move.........upside is now EX has told us we can stay here indefinitely now :j:j:j:j:j:D:D:D:D:D:D:D "enemy of my enemy is my friend" philosophy and all that may prove to have a mixed result as long as I can stand my ground and without the young Skints becoming casualties along the way. Any backbone hardening vibes most welcome :D:D:D:D

There has been a lot of flying but it's mainly been in LR and Kitchen.....I haven't looked at listy but this is what has been done:

bargain £2 big stackable boxes in pink, blue and white from ban'q loaded up with DD4, DS and generic toys that have been cluttering my room and upstairs hallway, and put behind the sofa up against the wall, so completely out of line of sight

sofas hoovered all over, floor hoovered, venetian blinds hoovered and wiped for every last speck of brick dust from wood stove installation. electricals, skirting, coving, new hearth and light hoovered . Electricals, mirrors, skirting, window and frames, LR, DR, Kitchen, downstair loo and front doors all wiped and buffed.

downstairs loo floor grout scrubbed with home made grout cleaner, then steamed floor and dried using microfibre noodles cleaning slippers

all downstairs loo, cupboards, work tops, sink, taps, knick knacks, mirror all wiped and buffed so I can see my face in them again.

understairs cupboards cleaned and tidied up a bit

hung pocket shoe holders on insides of doors for hidden storage of trigger bottles.....one inside my bedroom wardrobe door upstairs (which has had two bolts on for quite a while to stop DS ) and one inside cupboard where my good hoover lives

ensuite upstairs degibbled, mirrored cabinets emptied washed dried and buffed, loaded up with 99p mini chests to contain all the stray things that seem to breed inside the cupboards......used old dental tartare pick to carefully scrape chunks of limescale off taps (where every limescale product known to man has previously failed to remove 100%).....now marked with sh@rpie as a cleaning instrument to avoid any awkward encounters, toilets, sink, windows and sill all cleaned, dried and buffed. labels soaked of value baby lotion and shampoos ready for craft/co-ordinated look in bathroom. Popped some m@gic eraser cubes into the toilet bowl of each loo in the house.

Kitchen degibbled, empty loo roll box installed in recycling cupboard ready to stuff with secure destruction receipts as assistant to nice free kindling I acquired the other day. plastic bag samosas made, toaster decrumbed with paint brush, UV light insect zapper cleaned out with separate paint brush (sh@rpies out again in force to mark which is which) all worksurfaces and cupboard doors washed, dried and buffed. Floor hoovered, DW x 2 and one WUDUPA by hand to get all uptodate. Used one of my 99p cereal containers with a flap as a crafty catch all for stray loom bands, stray craft foam mosaic squares, googly eyes and jewels that have fallen off other creations, attractive card shapes, plastic bits and bobs for making stuff (one day of de-gibbling and it is almost full already). cooker hob, doors, hood and knobs cleaned and polished, microwave cleaned and polished......china hen egg holder brought out of mothballs and back into active surface

main bathroom bath, shower and sink cleaned, floor swept, mirrors polished. restocked loo rolls cupboard.

drawer dividers added in my BR
two boxes of assorted gibble rehomed from DD4's room.

After only having 30 minutes sleep at around midnight I am now feeling sleepy and potentially builder should be here in about 2 hours (depending on how heavy the rain is today) I will catch some ZZZZ's now, but will be up for some :coffee: and serious Laundry duty later before DD1 flies back out to Ireland on Wednesday

    Laters, Gators!
The cold never bothered me anyway
