  • Afternoon! - Been out to buy half sack of potatoes from local farm shop - only £2.95!!! Then had a very short walk along the riverbank and through the town before heading off to buy an external hard drive - thanks again Pigpen.

Yesterday managed to complete the knitting on my first easter chick - and, so sad- got really excited when I managed to shape the tail and head properly. Just needs stitching up now and head and face done. Hoping the cs will buy the stuffing needed. Now started on a lovely jade green scarf - only garter stitch but coming on nicely and doesn't appear to be making much difference to my health problems so we'll see where this takes me! Think DH was happy as it meant I didn't mind him watching two episodes of Dr who whilst I was busy!

Having a healthy lunch - having been tempted by but resisted a Maccy D. Smilies still not working - hair raise in horror!!!

Thiss aternoon propose to attack the weeds in the front garden and what looks again like cat poo border now!!!

Will catch up later - hope you got to the flymeet OK Dusty.

Hello again, I'm up to the stage on my list where I take the dogs for a walk, but I'm just having a sandwich first. Its really hot today, so we won't go far and I'll give them a cool shower when we get back.

Dusty's flymeet news reminds me that I won't be able to organise or attend a flymeet at the end of October now due to new job commitments. Sorry for that...

    Catch you all later.

Ooh have a nice time dusty, froddy, soappie and greenbee

I'm home, my collection email arrived early so DD now has a real Queen Elsa dress for her birthday bundle, rather than my rather iffy home made version :p

Bowling is booked for tomorrow and I've wrapped her presents and got the party bags, cake and candles ready. Also need to take a knife and some kitchen roll to wrap.

Has anybody used a giant cupcake cake tin? Wondering if there were any tips for getting the cooked cake out in one piece? I can line the bottom part but it's shaped for the top "swirl" section. Obviously I will butter it well but if anyone has an idiot proof tip I'd be very grateful. It's tin, not silicone.

Bedding is out on the line, wash baskets empty and I've vacced downstairs. I will mop once the kids are in bed tonight.

Morning flyladies. I have to own up to not bathing the dogs yesterday or making the banana cake. The long hike absolutely tired us all out.
Oh lawks, I really have to do something about this tiredness/lack of attention..... I first off read that as "I have to own up to not bathing." Totally missed the bit about it being the dogs that didn't get bathed.:rotfl:

So.... what've we achieved today? Fed and walked Lizzie (of course) - it'll be time for her 2nd walk at 16:00. MrLW kindly popped to @ldi for milk, bread and grapefruit juice; he also came back with a couple of bottles of Pinot Grigio that walked into his basket.....:D I did HHWiiFit while he was out. Wrote Lizzie's postcard to take with her when she goes tomorrow morning. Cleaned the bathroom between us, including giving the bath-lift a good once-over. Made and ate veggie toad-in-the-hole. He's currently ironing shirts and chinos for work next week. So nothing spectaculous (deliberate mis-word, btw. It features in the PS2 game "Norrath: Return to Arms" and has been adopted by the Wolf household.):D

Lizzie is currently lying on her back with her legs in the air. Very dignified!:rotfl:

Hello again. I have done everything on my list today and two loads of washing and the recycling is out for collection tomorrow.

LW, the dogs are bathed and drying naturally in the sunshine. I am clean too - well cleanish after the gardening!

Just have a cuppa and a slice of banana cake (spectaculous it is!!) and will then go and relax in the garden with the papers until DH gets home.

Back from weekend away and it was so nice to come back to a hovered, dusted and tidy house (apart from girls rooms). Put wash on and now in the TD (feeling too tired to peg out - I blame the cocktails last night he he).

Plan is take away for tea and I need to do meal plan and shopping list.

What a luverly day. OH and I dropped DS1 off at a friends, dropped DS2 and mate off at the golf course - then went into town - on our own.

What luxury. I did explain to OH before we went that I needed work trousers. I have decided that I have too many clothes for work and a lot of it is slightly tatty, doesnt really fit or not very comfy so I am on a mission to create a very minimalist work wardrobe. So I have bought 2 pairs of smart black trousers that fit me properly (even took my usual work shoes with me to make sure length was OK). I will then sort through my tops ruthlessly.

Had lunch with OH and strolled round the shops. Such a treat. Off to sort some washing and ironing now and prepare for a very busy week!
