Had a shower and done both lots of chooks and the rabbits for my friend. Had breakfast and feeling quite good again today :). Taking S shopping, dropping Z off to play with a friend all day and then look at what S and I are going to do this afternoon - http://http://englishmum.com/squidgy-marshmallow-chocolate-brownies.html

Dusty, have a lovely day with your boys.
Skinty, please can you send your 6ft helper in my direction to change a couple of light bulbs and trim back some overgrown shrubs that my DH is deliberately ignoring?
Pigpen, FWIW I too think you should go with the option of the single bed with safety rail and one set of bunks. Dot will soon learn not to fall out of bed (you could always turn her sideways in the bed, parallel with the short end rather than the long side, until she outgrows that). How about putting up some open shelves or even cupboards above the bed, for books and small boxes of toys? - or would the littlies want to swing on them and bring them crashing down?

Didn't go shopping last night: DH didn't get home until nearly 7.00, so by the time we had eaten I was ready just to sit down and watch GBBO and knit.

    My list for today:
    - finish writing the Charity Trustees' Report which I have already drafted this morning
    - go and see the NDN
    - deliver a catalogue order form and money
    - clean upstairs (shower already blitzed!) and dust downstairs
    - clean windows (or get DH to do it) while the sun is shining gently
    - post DD's mini-present and voucher
    - hospital appointment at 2 pm about my shoulder
    - finish shopping on the way home
    - more fun with the sewing table drawer

I feel guilty I haven't taken boys to many places this holidays. We also haven't had much contact with anyone. Their social skills and mine aren't going to improve this way.

Off to the cinema soon. Ds1 doesn't want to go. Trouble with having 5.5 year age gap.

AF seems to have done a runner too.

Thanks all.. The walls can't cope with shelves. I *could* just erect 3 beds and keep the 4th dismantled until needed. I just wanted all 3 beds to match.. that might be silly ;)

Can we have some *perfectly healthy* vibes please? ... My daughter is having to go to hospital to get the baby's heart checked because it has a funny heartbeat today. One of the side effects of her sicky meds is heart defects so she is really scared and worried.

It has rained on my washing :(

I have 4 bundles of knitting patterns winging their way out of the house today :) I've got an extra £25 in my paypal so I'm a happy chicken. I have a few more knitting books to add which I hope to get done later today.. it is so nice to see things leaving.

Pigpen was going to suggest 2 sets of wooden bunks and store one you don't need ATM as you might later. We might be getting rid of bunks soon but you aren't near enough lol we got ours from Argos as didn't want to spend more than £200 and are very good quality

Wish you lot could see S, he's giggling away at something he's watching on the iPad; I love to see the kids happy. And of course Z is at her friends now so S has me all to himself!

Having a cuppa then walking the dogs - it is going to happen and hopefully before it rains! Whiz is snuggled up by S now curled up in a tiny ball; I'm always amazed how small he can get himself bearing in mind how long his legs are.

Pigpen hope your daughter's tests will reassure her that everything is OK. Has she been on anti-sickness meds? I took them with both mind and all was fine. Well done on getting rid of stuff on fleabay by the way!

Dancemum try not to feel bad about not being out and about so much; I think we're all under a lot of pressure to go out and do stuff all the time and give the kids 6 weeks of fantastic memories but in reality we just can't do it, especially if we suffer with the BD. I'm sure they've had a great time just home resting, lying in, playing on Wii or whatever. Apart from anything else I refuse to take the kids out all the time as it costs a small fortune! Wonder where AF has got to? Gentle hugs to you x

Ionafan what are you knitting? I've had to come to terms that I just can't do it as I get shooting pains in my tendons in my arms and have to rub Ibuprofen gel on them. Am thinking I may sell my wool and even maybe my beloved HiyaHiya circulars *muffled sob*.

Frizzle thinking of Christmas already! Goodness, I don't start that until the beginning of December lol.

Oodles of "healthy vibes" to your DD and the baby, pigpen.

Mumof2, I am just using up odd balls of wool and currently making cardigans in very small sizes for prem babies and newborns, for our local hospital. Next I want to finish off a blanket of knitted squares with all the Miffy characters which I started about 10 years ago! - it just needs sewing up and backing, but that is a horrible job. After that I shall probably move on to Teddies for Tragedies. I find it hard to do bigger projects (my shoulder aches after even a short while). I'd love to make things for my DGC, but my DGDs are well supplied with knitwear by an elderly friend of my DiL, and the 3 DGSs are growing so fast that I can't keep up with them!
