Jazee isn't it lovely when neighbours are friendly and they can really lift your spirits if you're feeling a bit flat or down. Just something as simple as a smile can help.

Absolutely, and hm cake is even better. It hasn't taken away the niggly thoughts from earlier, but it is making me look at a particular situation with a more balanced and rational view.

Right, dogs walked, hoovering done, grass cut etc etc. Just having lunch and will then get back out in the garden. Summer has returned here too.

bathroom is all shiny - I have also taken the strip of the shower screen and cleaned it thoroughly and it's drying outside as is the toilet brush and holder and DS's uni one which have been sluiced in disinfectant and are now basking in the sun. DS's duvet has been washed too; hopefully that is benefitting from the sunshine too. DS is in Tunisia. Apparently it's too hot.

Just had the battle royal with S to get him to eat his lunch. He threw all his toys out the pram including something neither of the kids have said before which is 'You hate me'. I have to tell him no, that's not true but I want him to eat his lunch. I tried to remember he's only a child and remember the things my therapist told me to remember. Why's being a Mum so hard sometimes?

Anyhow, running DW now and taking the dogs out about 2 - will definitely do it as we all need the exercise.

Mumof2 .. It is just what they say, they know you don't really but it is hard for them to remember when they are angry. I put mine their lunch on the table, they have it 20 minutes, if it is not eaten I remove it.. if it is untouched I wrap it in clingfilm and give them it later.. I hate food waste but sometimes it is easier to just roll with it.. I don't eat if I'm not hungry so I don't see why I should try to make others.. in fact Squeak is asking for lunch now so I'm off to the kitchen again!.

I've just spent nearly 3 hours in the garden, enough now, on top of cutting the grass earlier, but I've cleared the area of pots thats needed for the greenhouse. There was a shed there so the base is ok thank goodness.

Just had a cuppa, now to relax for a while with the paper. Then I may bake some cookies.

    If it's gone, it's done :)

I have drunk coffee with one of my not-nextdoor neighbours

    I still have to
    - call in to see NDN - she was out when I tried earlier
    - go to Sainsbugs for food when DH brings the car home this evening and possibly find a suitable birthday present for DD, otherwise it will be Bee'n'Queue vouchers - DS1 has already ordered the thing I was going to get for her
    - make 1 phonecall
    - start making the new hanging drawer for Granny's needlework table

    Oh well, phonecall next, then.

Back from getting DS3's vaccinations done, I'm fine in the surgery when it isfor somebody else.

Just having a cuppa and a bar of chocolate then to hospital for my bloods, think I'll get the washing in first at it has clouded over. Hope to still get our grass cut when I get back.
