    yes it is - but if she's not willing to give you the keys, in exchange for you giving her her £400 back, is it worth going to small claims court for £100? Doesn't it cost money to lodge a claim in small claims court? Do you want the car back - I mean, is it of any use to you?

    I have another car now. I could sell it for double what I sold it her for.

    I am trying to reasonable to her, she does not want to know

    I mean, I have the v5 document, she needs that to get tax, what will she do then?

    Likewise, if she doesn't tax it or register it as off road I pay the fine, it's a double edged sword

    ok, well if she won't agree to return the car (could you meet halfway, she brings the keys and you bring the cash?) then I think your only option is to go to small claims.

    I agree that for £100 it hardly seems worth it, but it's the principal. I am also sure I would be able to add costs onto it as well...

    But like I say, it's a standoff, without evidence in theory the car is mine, so her insurance is also void
