  • So I sent the template appeal letter off and expected this all to stop or to receive the chance of POPLA, but instead I have received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus with a demand for unpaid £150 (it's gone up!) parking charge!

So, please help! Do I not now get the chance for POPLA? What happened to that route? Shall I ignore this letter?

I have yet to email BPA about the breach of code, so I am going to do this next.

ignore any DRP letters or any from ANY debt collector, including PCS

I assume you sent off the appeal to AM PARKING SERVICES ?

they have 35 days to reply to this, so have they had 35 days ? (it doesnt appear so to me)

obviously you can complain to the BPA as they appear to have breached the BPA CoP

I sent the appeal letter back to Parking Collection Services as the 'Notice to Owner' letter came from them.

Should I send the appeal letter directly to AM Parking Services Ltd?

PCS are DRP in disguise afaik, so you have not appealed at all as they cannot do anything about it
Debt Recovery Plus Ltd also t/as Parking Collection Services

your PPC appeal goes to the PPC, A M Parking Services , as they are the creditor and the only one who can issue a popla code

the newbies sticky thread tells you to use the template letter to appeal to the PPC, but you have to ensure who the PPC is, which you mentioned earlier in this thread

    coupon-mad said the following too
This is a serious breach of the Code of Practice IMHO and you should email the BPA as well as sending the template appeal to the PPC.

also appeal to the landowner, if you can do so

    so you should

complain to the BPA enclosing all the paperwork received to date, alleging a breach of the CoP

    send template letter to AM

    complain to the landowner too

Thanks very much for advice - didn't realise til now I hadn't properly appealed, so have now sent letter to AM and complained to BPA too.

    Fingers crossed now!

You HAVE properly appealed. The PCS letter told you to use the PCS address didn't it? Stop thinking you have done something wrong. You appealed as keeper when you got a pathetic version of a NTK. So you should be sent a POPLA code.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi ya

Yes, I sent the template letter to PCS as you advised, but since then have also sent this letter by email to A M Parking as an appeal (because of what I got told here). Have received no acknowledgment at all from them, and now I have received a further letter from Debt Recovery Plus with a 'Notice for intended court action' if I now don't pay the £150 parking charge!

Have emailed BPA about the breach of the Code of Practice and waiting to hear back from them.

Should I send the template letter to DRP now or just ignore them?

    Bit confused now! :-/

ignore the debt collectors, all they can do is send out intimidating letters, nothing more

read all about them in post #4 of the NEWBIES sticky thread

I also told you this in post #24 ages ago

Yes, I remember you telling me that and so have ignored these letters.

So what should I do now?
