    no, i can't
i already said i was wrong
i now believe the peak was may

Apologies, so does that mean you need a little more time for the data to wash through or is it now visible?

it means that it is now cheaper to buy a house in london than it was in may. even the bulls on this site will agree with this.

What is the average sale price in London right now then? What was it in May? Does the "fact" that it is cheaper now than it was in May mean the peak was May? What about the months subsequent to May where the average sale price in London was higher than it was in May? Does that still mean the peak was in May? Is the average sale price in London right now higher than it was in July say? Are you sure you know what the word "peak" means?

If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.

The new affordability rules hit in June and even caused a serious delay with a BTL project I was involved in.
So are the stats in yet, concerning prices as affected by new rules?

London will never reach a once and forever peak, by next century no doubt prices will be even higher!

London has split into a number of sub-markets with quite different price trajectories.

I do expect to see some new troughs before any major new peaks.
Hung parliament, Labour holding the balance of power at next election anyone?

London living costs if you intend to own rather then rent are now quite toxic. Some other parts of the UK will probably be getting a boost from London's economic refugees.

Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.
  • Prices should keep going up so that they are out of the reach of all but the house owning elites.

if the price of the pound is going to heavily rally against the euro as predicted and proeprty keeps going up, British property owners are going to literally be able to buy france off the French lock stock and barrel before too long.
