Hi celticmiss , ive read your whole diary and you are doing really well , i also have a tsb loan and on the online banking you can press extra payment calculator button and its really interesting to see how much interest youll save and if the months will come down , you probably already no this , but i find it really good even if i pay tenner extra i save a pound interest it all adds up , anyway keep going0

Thank you Kitycatfan, I have been doing a bit of snowflaking into the loan and emergency fund but your message prompted me to review loan and extra payment made so April should see me break below £3000. :beer:LBM August 2014: £16430.26

At work but taking a quick brew break and thought I would check the site.
Kittycatfan gave me a little nudge last week so working at it again. All money directed to necessary pots and recalculated to be significantly better off by the end of the year. But I do need to remain focused which includes £270 each month to cc to clear for Christmas.
Christmas savings pot on the go and stands at £175 that's ok.
TSB loan will also be paid at Christmas so a whopping £604 in my account come January 2016. Now this is my motivation.
Still snowflaking into emergency fund which as about £68 since January so again that's okay too.
I still enjoying a few days and nights out so dont feel like I am doing without much. Lucky.
Biggest tip has been reviewing my meals and shopping budget and now driving toward Christmas 2015.
The debt wont be clear but it will be half way there and only one debt remaining which feels like a mile stone.xLBM August 2014: £16430.26

So I am not as good as many others on here at keeping up to date but I regularly check the forums to see what is happening.
I have been trying a different tact this month and purchased YNAB. Its taking a bit of getting used to but I feel positive that it will help. I am keeping receipts and inputting and checking daily. Feeling that it will be a couple of months before I have an accurate reflection of my spending etc.
Debt update:
TSB loan 1/2012 £13000 now £2719 and due to finish 2/2016 but this is my goal for 2015. I want to pay this off for December 2015. So actually need two over payments £676- I can do this!
ZOPA loan 11/2013 £9121 now £6679 due to finish 11/2018. This will be 2016 target.
I'm moving in the right direction albeit slowly but managing to get kids on school trips and replace windows so feel that I am keeping the plates spinning.
Signed up to a few FB budget pages for inspiration too.
Onwards, good luck and thank you to everyone that regularly contributes to the MSE pages - inspirational and supportive.:TLBM August 2014: £16430.26

Forgot to add that I have changed my shopping technique too. I had been doing a monthly online M...sons shop but this month took a trip to Al.i and bought all meat for the month and a few other bits. Total shop £104.00. So just the fresh stuff and a few bits not as good in Al.i to purchase from M..sons. Didnt buy the fish in there so that was bought at M..sons although they have 3 for £10 on fish which will do 3 meals for me and OH. Kids not keen.;)LBM August 2014: £16430.26

Hi celticmiss
Just been reading your diary and am delighted you're making progress. Sometimes fast and sometimes slower, that's life eh.
I saw your 0% credit card deal is up this month and from your signature it looks like you still have a balance. You probably know about the latest deals, but with interest rates being so low I managed to flip a debt onto a Halifax 0% card for 0 fee. At the kind prompting of a debt free forum fanatic. The length of the deal depends on your creditworthiness and i only got the shorter time til end 2015/but you might get longer!! The deals change all the time but I doubt your current card will remind you that interest is about to kick in. All the best.Total debt at 18.9.17 £1950

Thank you Pollygarter for keeping an eye out its appreciated. All in hand now.
Overtime has hit my account today so straight into "need new window fund" £680 saved and enough for the window to be fitted end of May. Hooray.
Tight month but all bills paid and money in correct pots. Just need to hold on tight now.
I think I am going to try a 3 in a row NSD Friday - Sunday feeling hardcore.xLBM August 2014: £16430.26
