Just contacted MBNA via chat. I was told that my voucher should have been received on the 20th. Now passed to their marketing section to see what is going on
  • I did not get my voucher on 20th and have not had a chance to contact MBNA to ask of its whereabouts.

But it just turned up in my inbox so maybe others will get it today.

Success mine has just arrived having contacted MBNA as noted above. However, this may just be a coincidence. I'll now close the new card account.

Just received my Amazon gift certificate at 11.25 this morning. Still waiting on a card, but haven't felt the need to contact MBNA yet, as it's still within their 31/10 deadline.
  • Got mine today at 11:25

How do we close the account easily?

Thanks to everyone here - it's been so helpful.

I cant believe they've paid Amazon for all those customers and are happy to see them all go. Barking.

I doubt they paid Amazon anything.

Im sure they funded the cashback as part of the deal whereby they inherited all the customers at the end of the agreement with Amazon.

If you'd like to close your credit card account please call our Customer Services team using the number on the back of your card. If your account has been dormant for more than 30 days then you can close it by using our IVR (interactive voice system).

So wait 31 days from your last transaction (including the most recent payment?) and you can close it without talking to MBNA.
