I thought I was up to date with road signs but came across the following on the Leeds ring road. What does it mean?

I was going to say 'U-turn' allowed but going forward on the road it's the traffic coming the other way that is allowed to do a U-turn.

I thought its an attempt at warning of a tunnel or low bridge
Not even sure if there is a list of offical signs even? I know this one thats not far from us isnt in my copy of the highway code

think its an attempt to alert drivers that there is an exit to go back on yourself. a kind of you may Uturn here.0

The question was if there is formal list of actual signs or if they can make them up. I know what the sign is warning, it even has "Tanks" written in a box under the sign just in case you cant guess what it is.
The highway code doesnt have the tanks warning sign in it though nor does the list of signs on the gov.uk site.0 -
If you continue on that road past the U turn people joining your direction, there is a road for you to make a u turn.
I vote it is a U Turn allowed sign, just stuck up too early.0 -
I'm pretty sure it means you can do a u turn, if you go down the road you can see their is a right turning onto the other side of the ring road, this is only accessible by people on the side of the carriageway on the map.0
