Totally agree no but I don't know what's worse, the need-to-sell clutter or Mr Hbbb moaning about the need-to-sell clutter!
Happy to dip in and out of the diet malarkey too as I've still got some pounds to shift. Although I like GallyGirl's stated approach, we tend to go for the 5:2 fasting /soup days as this fits in well with being a veggie! Wine consumption also greatly reduce and trying to up the exercise factor!
Good luck with it all! xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Re: weightloss. Well last week I lost 2lb and this week I gained 1 of them back...... oooops!:o
I would struggle massively to cut out carbs, although I do try and avoid bread when trying to lose weight. However, I still eat masses of rice, pasta, noodles and couscous - and potatoes!:p
I'm not a massive consumer of alcohol (probably averages out at maybe 1 or 2 units per month, maximum) so cutting this out isn't an issue (although I use wine liberally in cooking!!) Chocolate/ sweet snacks/ cakes etc are my main downfall. I can easily eat a whole cake/ multipack of choc bars etc:o:o I can't not have sweet things in the house (4 children, inc 2 teens who consume vast amounts of Everything!) so I try and limit it to things I'm not fussed on (trouble is, there's very little that I don't like!) and bake little and often. DH also has a massive sweet tooth (not good as a diabetic!) and - in addition to that - would happily get a takeaway a couple of times a week (He got himself a calorific Indian last night - I declined, although did have a couple of bits of his naan)
I'm happy to cook from scratch all the time and generally try and follow SW principles. We go on holiday 25th Oct and I want to lose min 7lb before then (ideally more)
I'm limited in terms of exercise due to a bad flare up of plantar fasciitis at the mo, which is worse if I attempt things like fast walking/ walking long distances/ jogging and even the cross trainer. I am hideously unfit!
My sweet thing of the mo is fruit (berries/ plums/ nectarines etc) with fat free greek yogurt (mixed with a small amount of sweetener and a couple of drops of vanilla essence to make it seem more luxurious) Generally it satisfies me.
However, 2 year old family bday party on Sat afternoon - which will be massively overcatered and have lots of yummy goodies......:eek:I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Not posted for awhile, sorry... Been a bit stressful and more to come... OH is having bit of bother at Work and is waiting on a disciplinary hearing so naturally, we are stressed. One of the other 'posters' on here mentioned that her oh was being watched in Work, and that the younger less qualified are cheaper to hire so to speak. Think it's the same here.
We are almost mortgage neutral and will be mfree in March 2016 or sooner.
If we lose his salary now, we'll be living off savings which will scupper the plan:eek:
I k know worse things happen at sea and we are luckier than most... But just feeling worse for not knowing were we stand at present. Got a lovely family holiday coming up and this is over shadowing all at the moment.read green (as in sick) instead of a purple face here

Sorry to hear about dh. It's sooo hard to live normally with that hanging over you.
I guess you do need to seriously consider not having his salary - have you read any mrmoneymustache? He seems to be like marmite - love or hate - and I like him. May give you food for ponderation...

Thanks.MM for posting. I've heard of Mr money moustache via this forum but not actually sought it out to read it. Will give it a go though. I could do with it to focus on. We've already done our sums and know what we're up against, but would be good to read on something both useful and helpful.
Thanks again
