I suppose either side may ask for the higher appeal, depending who it goes against , so not really surprising that either side may wish to appeal it and ask for it to be allowed

    doesnt surprise me at all

If Beavis loses, I hope he will fight all the way and get the support he needs to do so.

I am guessing that PE will not want to settle a "No Costs" agreement because they (may) have a ruling that applies to lower courts.

As there is so much riding on this case, it is virtually certain that whoever the losing side are, they will appeal. As both sides have known the judgement for a few days the request for permission to appeal will already have been sent to the court, and of course the counter-argument for refusing an appeal from the winning side will also have been submitted.

As Bargepole has said above, as well as handing down the judgement, the judges will also grant, or refuse permission to appeal to the Supreme Court.

One thing I should have added to the post above:

For the attention of the MSE Forum Team - I'll start a new thread for this, with the title PARKING EYE v BEAVIS: THE RESULT.

You had better make sure there is plenty of server capacity, or the forum will go into meltdown.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
  • look forward to hearing the results and analysis in your own words

    Request Denied.

    You can call it either

PARKING EYE v BEAVIS: BEAVIS WINS!

    or

PARKING EYE v BEAVIS: PARKING EYE WINS!

You must submit a revised request for permission to post with the correct title in the next 5 minutes.

    Thanks.
