I've got a £5 voucher if I spend more than £50 voucher, with my cake voucher, which I managed to activate online. However, I have now lost it. Does anyone know when it expires? I remember a date of 25th July 2015 but is this when the offer commences or when it expires? Thanks

25 July until 27 Sept so you've got a while to find it.
  • Sorry to resurrect this thread but...

    1. Received a new cake voucher today in the post.
    2. Validity from 29th April to 27th May.

Seriously John Lewis ? You expect customers to keep a voucher for nearly 3 months before it becomes valid.

Gonna be a lot of confusion in the John Lewis cafes when shoppers try to use this voucher in the next few weeks !

Surely must be an error? I wonder how many others will receive similar ones? Being John Lewis, I would expect they will honour them from now till the end date as it won't cost them any more (although might lead to some unwanted queues in their cafes).

I received one in the post today and it is valid until 25th March.
  • Aha, mine's just arrived in the post. Valid from 8 April to 12 May. They are obviously trying to distribute us evenly over the next 3/4 months - so perhaps my earlier comment was wrong.

I also have a £5 off voucher (when you spend £50) which is valid from 1 March to 7 April - another store visit (or online) required!

These seem to be pretty chaotic. I'm very disappointed in John Lewis.

I had one last year that was valid from 27 Nov to 24 Dec. I activated it and spent £50+ but never got a voucher. Endless emails ensued, during most of which time CS seemed to be trying to trace an online order when it was clearly displaying on 'my John Lewis' as having been bought in store. Other emails were duplicates of previous ones, the senders of which obviously hadn't read a word of my message. I'm still waiting; the last email contained an apology, which said it had been sent out in the post - and would take 28 days to reach my postal address! The truth would have been more palatable than such tripe.

Recently I got another one, valid from 26 Mar to 31 May but saying, like the last one, 'Activate this voucher now at johnlewis.com/reward'.

I tried to activate it but the website complains that it isn't within the validity dates!

I'm seriously wondering whether it's going to be worth all the hassle again for just another fiver.
  • My last £5 off voucher worked fine but, like you, I've occasionally had problems with their online CS people sending inappropriate replies to messages they clearly haven't read or understood properly.
