  • Have gone all retro (like drying racks above aga stove things) now my flat has no central heating - if I have cooked dinner in the oven rather than the microwave, I leave the oven door open afterwards and put the airer in front of it. Seems to work - although have horrid feeling the things I left in front of there last night might smell of (homemade) fish pie :D oops!
lol! If I did that last night they would've smelt of burnt pasta!

  • It could go either way though

    - either you spend all your wages before leave the shop
    or
    - Ste mysteriously finds every shop worker there and till breaks everytime he tries to buy anything :rotfl:

Please tell me you don't feel a responsibility to argos? What would happen if they suddenly realised there wasn't going to be a christmas rush and they didn't need extra staff? You'd be dropped like a hot spud. Just tell them, thanks but I've had a better offer, if they want to match it, great if not it's their loss.

If you get a better offer - and it sounds hopeful Good Luck.
Then a quick phone call to Argos (I accidently typed a rude word there :o ) to say "I'm very sorry but I won't be able to start with you next week" is all you/they need.
They're not going to take it personally! They're a big company and this sort of thing happens to them all the time. And it's better this way than you leaving after they've invested training (? not the argos staff I've seen lol).

And didn't Oberons OH work at Gamesstation - is that the one with the little models and pretend battles? Warhammer?

Well ok, look at it this way, you would be doing a favour to someone else who was interviewed, no doubt your job would be offered to the next in line :)

Hi hon well done you !!! That's great to be in demand-good ego boost ! I agree with Toto but only you can weigh the pros and cons. What a nice dilemma to have though. Good luck and I'm sure you will make the right choice. You deserve the best. XX

When I used to do the xmas recruitment we used to employ about 35-40 people even though we only needed 25 because at least 10 always disappeared before their first shift ;) Don't feel guilty, they only want you temporarily anyway, you don't owe them anything, and if they want you that much then they'll have to increase your offer :D
