Well she basically said to me that the computer would do it and that she had no control over the DD???? IS that because I'm an online customer???

  • I thinks that's more of a case that she doesn't know what she is talking about and it makes me so mad when these emptyheads blame the poor computers on everything!

Your DD may be automatically upped by their system and they may send you out an automated letter saying you'll be paying us £76 per month but it is still within your power to notify your energy provider and your own bank in writing that you will not consent to the higher DD. If you really feel your existing DD is sufficient I would think about keeping it at the level it is now. I would let your bank know you do not want the level of the DD changed or to be extra-cautious I would cancel your existing DD with them and set up a new one online for a £1 extra or something just to differentiate between the one you cancelled and the new one you set up after the 'dispute'.

Possibly something to take to their complaints department because reallly they have no right to insist on how you pay your bill with them other than you pay it within 14 days of receipt of your quarterly bill. Sxx

Yep. Apparently they have a strict '1 wanted ad per month' policy. According them I've put up 27 wanted ads in 10 months so I'm now on moderation.

Just read about your energy bills. And what a load of balls.

Ring them back ask for the refund and to stop playing stupid. Have a look at your bills over the last twelve months and see how much your bills have been in total (not direct debit payments). Then divide the total by 12 and thats probably are fair bet at how much your monthly payments should be. £76 per month sounds an awful lot to me anyway. How much has it gone up from?

    Sorry rant over!
