We tend to eat about six, but as our daughter isn't at school at the minute that isn't as rigid as her bedtimes can be a little more flexible now. After tea we might read a book together, play with some toys or if it is a nice evening okay outside until bath time. The two little ones are bathed and put to bed, after that it's a battle to keep our son in bed until about 2am. Once they have been put to bed I do some work, I might do a bit of reading if I have time. Nothing exciting really.

  • I'm a full time mum of two. I am with the kids all day and inbetween keeping the kids occupied I'm preparing breakfast lunch n dinners, husbands lunch, washing, tidying as I go. At 7pm the kids go upto bed to read or watch a film. They put their bits away before getting ready for bed.
Il do a quick five min tidy up, load dishwasher, load washing machine, and mop.
Il then put my pjs on if I'm not going to the gym. Catch up with my dramas as you can guarantee the kids will talk through it in the day time. Read my book or come on the internet for new recipes or check the forum.
I've started getting peckish around 8pm (now) il either grab a yoghurt (fat free) or homemade popcorn a spray of fry light olive oil and a sprinkle of granulated sweetener, it's quit filling and feels like a treat.

Have a look at what you eat in the day time.
For example I either have x1 griddled bacon x2 poached eggs 1/4 tin of chopped toms and a pile of mushrooms 1 slice of wholemeal toast if I'm really hungry, or porridge with maple syrup or sweetener.
Lunch chicken soup home made with chunky veg no bread as I find it filling but if I'm hungry 1 slice of wholemeal bread.
Tea time mainly chicken breast or lean mince, I aim to fill my plate with 50 percent veg or salad, 30 percent protein and 20 percent carbs.
Snacks fruit, fat free yoghurt, popcorn

Whatever you crave for try and find something you can make and keep in for when you have that hunger pang. ;)

I'm single and retired so my gardening etc., can be done in the daytime. I fill my evenings with meeting friends, going to the theatre/cinema, twice a week I go to a club for like-minded people of all ages, I help on an on-line help line once or twice a week for an evening or all night, visit organisations to give talks on my subject three or four times a month...and look forward to a couple of evenings in when I can work on the family tree, study for my on-line OU course or just catch up on phone calls to family or my latest book.

Hiya, Oh and i have dinner about 6pm and
then I hand wash the dishes.
Decide on the next nights dinner as often has to be got out of freezer and defrosted.
Walk round house and shut windows. Put away any washing that I did not do earlier.
Often chat on the computer. Surveys and npoints. Reacherch and learn new things.
Sometimes tv but not a big fan.
    Knitting
    Bath.
8 ish now go around and shut curtains as it is getting dark.
Put the dishes away from draining board.
Check all electric things off/unplugged that can be. I do this a few times a day and have a low fuel bill ;0)
Read a free ebook on kindle.

When the nights get dark earlier, I like to hibanate more and go to sleep earlier.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)

My ds is usually in bed between 7:15-7:30, so dh and I eat around 7:30 (he does bedtime, I do cooking). After that sometimes I work (I craft from home), meal plan/make grocery home delivery list, watch tv, browse the internet, I spend an evening on finances, read a book. Granted, it sounds a tad boring, but after working/running around after a 12 month old all day (I work part time) it's nice to sit down and relax!

  • After I either get in from work (3 days a week), collect the kids from nursery/childminder, make their dinner, bath and get them to bed, make dinner for OH and I (or visa versa), all I have the energy for is to collapse in front of the tv with a large glass of red in my hand!

Ditto the days I don't work when I am at home all day with two under 4 year olds.

You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
