I work long hours but still find time to go out after work a 3 nights a week (not necessarily spending much money) and spending time with the mrs who is probably out more than me, she loves her yoga! :rotfl:

I suppose it depends on your definition of boring. Personally I enjoy my voluntary work, and of course, having children means that you tend to do things with/for them. I don't consider that boring. Going out, presumably to a pub or wine bar, three times a week would be boring to me. Instead, I do things that I enjoy. Everyone is different and has different interests. It doesn't mean to say that we are boring just because we enjoy activities that you don't.0 -
I do lots of wine drinking too! One of my favourite activities.
Otherwise I tidy, iron while watching TV, visit my sister, go for drink with OH, trying to learn to sew..
Sometimes I also bake and sometimes I just lie on the sofa. Occassionaly I spend all night on the laptop or tablet!
Currently I also go to gym one evening a week.
This is what relaxes me, so as long as I get some exercise too I don't l guilty.0 -
Oh kite surfs most nights after work, I do gym classes. We both tend to be in at nine through the week. I'll have a bath and then read or put a film on and go to sleep. Oh will go on the computer.
DD never seems to be in.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I normally do yoga videos twice a week after work, then once I've finished that and had a shower OH is usually home. We'll make and eat dinner together and then I will do a mix of things depending on my mood:
Read blogs
Write my blog
Watch TV (if there's a programme on that we both like)
Watch YouTube videos/Netflix/iPlayer etc
Write my novel
Read a book or magazine
Do some sewing
Language practice - I'm teaching myself Spanish at the moment
Coding practice
Household jobs - bit of tidying in the front room, ironing, hoovering, put the dishwasher/washing machine on etc (not too late though so as not to disturb the neighbours)
I also go to a creative writers' group every other Tuesday and to my WI meeting once a month, and my current big evening project is sorting out all my clothes ahead of the autumn - deciding what to keep/sell/throw out, fixing things that need repairs etc. We don't have much spare money at the moment with saving for a house deposit and a wedding so can't really afford expensive hobbies or to go out very much (we do go to the cinema a couple of times a month but only because we have membership), but I rarely find I'm bored for long and always have something to do."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

Read (fiction)
Watch TV (drama) and films
In term time I have my Italian evening class and study for that.
Home renovation - the work I am doing goes way, way beyond "decorating". Current project is installing under-floor heating in the kitchen, then tiling the floor, then new units, worktop, plumbing etc etc. All myself except where specialist skills are needed (plastering) or qualifications (new electrical circuits).

I'm usually at work in the evenings, get home about 11ish, tend to watch something on tv/netflix, surf the net, then bed.

In twenty years time you should re read this thread. I wonder if people will still be boring to you or will you have morphed into a boring person yourself?0
