I suppose it depends on your definition of boring. Personally I enjoy my voluntary work, and of course, having children means that you tend to do things with/for them. I don't consider that boring. Going out, presumably to a pub or wine bar, three times a week would be boring to me. Instead, I do things that I enjoy. Everyone is different and has different interests. It doesn't mean to say that we are boring just because we enjoy activities that you don't.

I read your first post and thought, wow, how does one person fit so much in - anything but boring.

I'm out of the house about 5.45 in the morning and get back about 6 in the evening.

I usually go out for a meal once, sometimes twice a week, might meet just for a coffee. Go bellydancing once a week.

If I'm not out, then there might be a dog walk on the cards, usually some housework stuff poss gardening in summer, catching up on the book mountain and slowly teaching myself esperanto. I usually try and fit in 10 - 15 minutes of stretching every day as well.

Sometimes, I watch a DVD and chill and nothing wrong with downtime, it's all about balance.

I took up Yoga last year due to Health Problems and started going at least one night a week, two nights a week if I'm on the correct shift. It seemed to ease the issues I was having (don't ask me how because I don't quite understand it other than it helps me) and was also quite enjoyable.

Another thing I liked to do on an Evening once I came home from work was to get out on my Bike for an hour or so. It seemed a good way to get rid of whatever frustration was there from the day.

I also carried out some housework where I could to try and free up time at weekends as we both work Full-time and have a 4 year old daughter.

With any of this, apart from the Yoga, there was no set pattern that I religiously stuck to. Some days, I get in from work and all I want to do is park the bottom on the settee. If this happens, more often than not I fall asleep and then feel wretched later as I've wasted the time since I got in from work.

I usually go to the gym or for a walk and a gossip with a friend lol

I find it hard to sit in front of the tv all night and so do it very rarely - normally once a week

Out with the usual family organisation and chores I do lots of lovely home based things including:

Crochet, knitting, sewing, toy making, other crafts, gardening, writing, exercise DVDs, gardening, reading, friends round, baking and pampering :D

Often the telly or radio are on in the background however I get bored (and greedy) if I am just sitting doing nothing.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

It isn't that appealing in our house neither. It's more a need to get it done rather than have an untidy house. Otherwise our weekends are taken up with it, which drives me nuts!

It depends really - I try to go swimming three evenings a week, usually go to a gig / theatre / cinema about once a week, occasionally pop out for a pint or a coffee, either with DH or with some friends. Food shopping is usually done in the evenings, althought I'll try to fit that in with something else. About once a month we go to a talk at the zoo, and sometimes DH will go round to see a friend or his parents. Fridays DH goes out and I have a night in by myself doing girly things (bath, mani / pedi etc) and watching TV that DH hates :D If we're both in, then it's usually dinner and a DVD, then I'll go to bed and read while DH plays on his laptop.

I do yoga one evening a week and see friends probably 1 or 2 evenings. The others I just relax with OH, doing boring house stuff but also watching a film, playing a game or just chatting. I also do some volunteering on and off :)

You sound like you live in interesting area! The problem in my area is everything seems to start 7-7.30pm so I can never get there on time. I really used to love going to dance classes, but they all start at 7pm and they won't allow us to leave early. Many of my friends have the same problem as jobs are rarely 9-5 anymore.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Unless I have specific plans, nothing! I can't be bothered at the end of the day.
