Ah the usual contribution from you. I do not have to guess the remote location of your thumb. Your contributions are regularly cut to pieces and you either gibber or walk away because you have no actual real answer.

How do YOU find Sainsburys website?

    Thumb remote is right.

Thanks to all who replied with tips (which as a computer programmer I know these tips and tricks only too well)

I don't believe this for a second. No computer programmer would use IE as a browser (unless we're talking about someone who did it in the 80's or before). And why did you post all the details about what you're using? It's like you're pretty new to the internet and think what you displayed is a good up to date thing. I don't know anyone in the IT industry who uses IE and thinks it's a good browser. It's a default browser often to start but most people download and use something else, anyone with advanced computing knowledge will use something else. I certainly don't buy your computer programming idea.

Is it really necessary to criticise minor typos in someones post? Do you really have nothing better to say than that?

Especially when they erroneously suggest that it is "Sainsburys with a b and no ' " .

Sainsbury's (unlike Waterstones) continues to retain the apostrophe in their name (apart from on their website address which won't allow it)

Since IE10 its actually quite good, one of the quickest browsers you can get on Windows. The developer tools for it have also improved immensely too. The team behind it are not the same team that developed IE6 and they are fighting a real battle at the moment to get people to at least try it and see how much it has improved.

This is coming from a Mac user btw.

The ship has sailed on that one for MS and IE

As a computer programmer you'll understand the need for accuracy I'm sure. Can you explain what exactly a SAINSURY'S is? Do you mean Sainsburys with a b and no ' ? How would that work with your computer programming? Does your company go to great lengths to employ people who can spell and get their grammar correct?:D

Pointless post which dont leave the poster in a good light.

Op what have sainsburys actually said? Chocodonuts suggestion is quite simple, a good temp fix.
  • Some of you are missing the point.
    • Sainsbury's should ensure their website works on > 100% zoom on all browsers (on current versions of Windows i.e. Vista, 7, 8 & 8.1) and if possible on major mobile platforms such as iPads and Android Tablets

For the mean spirited posters; my preferred browser is FF, it is far more secure than IE (IMHO). The company I work for are required to support IE, FF and GC

    Why?

Obviously they've decided there is no need to support their website working on a zoom of > 100% due to the fact it only affects a very small number of users.

Plus as has been pointed out all you need to do is zoom back to 100% for the final checkout step. The rest of the site seems to work fine when zoomed.

    We know this, but ...
Why do the Sainsbury's support staff not tell the customers this ????
They said "No One else has this problem" !!!

My preferred browsers order is FF, GC, IE.
I am forced to use and support IE because the company I work for do.
