I noticed since they changed the layout your shopping basket is not shown in full, you can only see one item and have to scroll down if you want to check something, before you could see the full basket, annoying.

In Windows 8/8.1 go to the Control Panel/PC Settings screen > PC & Devices > Display

Under More settings changer the drop down to Larger.

Then keep your browser resolution at 100% or smaller and all should be good. Windows has bulit in accesibilty options, use them.
    Back by no demand whatsoever.

Thanks to all who replied with tips (which as a computer programmer I know these tips and tricks only too well).

Firstly the main issue here is that SAINSURY'S must ensure that their web site is accessible to partially sighted users.

Secondly their support staff should be trained to correctly identify customer issues such as this.

The company I work for goes to great lengths to test in all supported browsers and devices at various screen resolutions and browser zoom settings.
    Regards

Do they test it on EVERY laptop, EVERY desktop, EVERY tablet, EVERY mobile?

I've tried Sainsburys website on my two laptops and two desktops and on three browsers and despite being very short sighted have not had a problem. I am partially sighted and Sainsburys website is accessible to me.

As a computer programmer you'll understand the need for accuracy I'm sure. Can you explain what exactly a SAINSURY'S is? Do you mean Sainsburys with a b and no ' ? How would that work with your computer programming? Does your company go to great lengths to employ people who can spell and get their grammar correct?:D

Is it really necessary to criticise minor typos in someones post? Do you really have nothing better to say than that?

Ah the usual contribution from you. I do not have to guess the remote location of your thumb. Your contributions are regularly cut to pieces and you either gibber or walk away because you have no actual real answer.

How do YOU find Sainsburys website?

Ok this thread just got weird. Nuff said.
The more I live the more I am shocked by ignorance, the more I realise we as a human race are doomed because of the chains we continue to wear.
People need to open their minds to the myriad of possibilities even in traditional circumstances. If I could delete my MSE account I would.

I've seen this problem on many websites. They're not designed to work properly unless they are at 100% zoom. It's annoying but only a very small minority would need to use a higher than 100% zoom so I assume it's not worth the investment to make make websites like this zoomable.

I am not a programmer but someone once told me it was due to how the button is defined. It's a fixed asset that becomes distorted if the zoom level is changed. I don't know how true this is though.
