Tuk - The Tesco mobile block covers Premium SMS MT texts, SMS adult content and premium calls according to their My Account section. Not sure exactly if that helps or not now!

Cyberman60 - 0800 is free on Giff Gaff but not Tesco so it varies, and both those use O2 network.

I would speak to them and ask for an address to forward it to and ask for a name.
I emailed them a while back on mycare@o2mail.co.uk it can take a day or two to get a response

Thinking about it as you are PAYG it may be prepaycustomerservice@o2.com

I contacted o2 who say there is no email address available, but I forwarded PPP's email to both those addrs anyway.

According to O2 the only way I can stop future charges is to send STOP to a short code number, but O2 cant tell me how much the company( who stole my money ) will charge me for this text ....this is the same company who says they have not charged me anything at any time & I'm not even on their system.

It seems the spirit of Kafka is strong with O2.

    Update:

After much ado, PhonepayPlus eventually tracked down a contact telephone number for the company in question(o2 were completely hopeless in this respect), I called the company who processed a refund for £40, no idea how they managed to take this much without me knowing, I only top up by £10-£15 every couple of months & hardly use the phone so was only expecting the £6 mentioned in my OP.

Separately I received the following e-mail from
    PhonepayPlus:

I write in reference to your complaint.

As you are aware, PhonepayPlus has conducted an assessment of the service and has determined that a full investigation is warranted. As a result this matter has now been referred to an Investigations Executive.

Further investigation may result in no action being taken against the provider. However, where the investigation uncovers non-compliance with the Code of Practice, breaches of the Code may be raised against the provider. This may result in the imposition of sanctions by the PhonepayPlus Tribunal.

Please note this process can take up to 14 weeks to complete depending on the complexity of the investigation. However, PhonepayPlus will keep you updated throughout the process.

If you have further questions or information about your complaint, please contact our helpline on 0800 500 212 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Please ensure you have your case reference number to hand before calling.

    Kind regards
