That would only block me from dialling certain numbers( which I've not done ) it wouldn't block 3rd party criminals from randomly charging my phone credit for services not received or requested.

I've lodged a complaint with PPP.

Since you are on PAYG, you can wave goodbye to O2 and port off to another provider which does allow these things to be blocked.

^^That's exactly what I intend to do...any suggestions?

Not giving up on getting my money back yet, it's only £6 but it's the principle lol, was just about to pull the trigger on a tablet through the O2 shop but I'll be buying that from Amazon now.

PhonepayPlus sent me an e-mail today saying they called the company in question but were informed my mobile is not on their system ......ok, but I already told them that when I made the complaint.

It says in their email:

In order for PhonepayPlus to continue pursuing your complaint we will require one or all of the following pieces of information:
So, it looks like in order for the regulator to chase up the charge they need the very information O2 are refusing to provide, namely who took the money...otherwise, I'm guessing, like O2 they're going to say there's nothing they can do.

What a complete joke!

Forward the email to O2 and demand that the charges are credited back as there is no record by the company charging you.

• If you switch to Tesco Mobile PAYG you can create an online account which then allows you to block premium rate numbers/texts - I've done that myself.
Chose the Tesco Lite tariff as this is cheaper at 8p a min, 4p a text rather than their triple credit tariff, if you are a low user.
Tesco Mobile uses the O2 network so you should not need to get your phone unlocked as most O2 phones will accept Tesco sim cards as standard.
With TM you can also switch the voicemail on and off at will as you need it.

afaik there is no way to send an email to O2, chat or phone only.

Just to be sure we're talking about the same thing, does the Tesco blacklist not just block you from dialling/texting out to premium numbers...because that is different to what has happened to me.

I would speak to them and ask for an address to forward it to and ask for a name.
I emailed them a while back on mycare@o2mail.co.uk it can take a day or two to get a response

Thinking about it as you are PAYG it may be prepaycustomerservice@o2.com

Hung up my suit!
Can anybody answer this ? I've always believed 0800 numbers to be free but O2 are billing me (I put in 800 instead of 0800 on mobile). They have given me a credit this time but surely they are free always but O2 say no. I am really confused !!!
