Hi all
We're just talking about Blue Peter badges in the office and wondered how many people have them and use them for the discounts.
Do you or your kids have one? How long have you had it?
Are you older and still using yours?

Could you do with a Money Makeover?

I may be wrong but were the discounts and free entry part of it removed a few years back when it was discovered that people were selling badges on ebay therefore making it a cheap way for someone to purchase free unlimited entry to attractions....

I have two. My first was for sending in a banana cake recipe (a very long time ago) and the second was because I lost the first one!0

No, I was never lucky enough to get one.
However, I had a lucky escape when I was a youngster, and my folks tried to get someone called Jim to fix it for me - fortunately that one didn't happen either:o0 -
No - but 3 of my 4 offspring won badges for something or other .........0

A friend of mine sent a recipe in hoping to get a badge - I can still remember how annoyed she was when they sent her a photo of the tortoise instead.0 -
I got one 25 years ago for a picture of a butterfly! Don't even know where it is now but I'm sure I kept it.0

Yes. I have a gold one from about 1994.
I used to use it for free entries to things like the zoo, but you can only do this until you're 16 so I haven't done it for a while.
(I voted "yes, and I use it for the free stuff")
ETA: I think this might be the equivalent of the now "silver badge". I certainly didn't save anyone's life or anything!Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?
