and guess what? I just checked my junk folder and there it was. right, so now I need to find a rebuttal and send it to POPLA, right?

    correct m8

so like I said , by email , but could have come by post, especially if you had posted your popla appeal and not given an email address

The pack they sent does contain a breakdown (Version: 2.0_EPS__ANPR/CCTV) of how they arrived at the £100 amount - in their breakdown it comes to approx. £122 !

Most of the rebuttals I have read say that they won "based on GPEOL" (for example showthread.php?t=5027585).

This makes me wonder if these rebuttals are now out of date???

I suppose they are always out of date so need constantly revising

here is the thread you mention

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5027585 and its only 5 weeks ago so fairly recent, but you need to check if it answers all the rebuttals you need in your new pack too

not a gpeol is the main winner for the peel centre as you will see in the POPLA DECISIONS sticky thread

Here is the doc that they sent to me to address their costs:

    http://1drv.ms/1oNnlPy

To my untrained eye this looks like they have tried to cover themselves from losing on GPEOL??? And if this is the case, are the rebuttals on this site still useable ?

    Yes and no

You need to compare and contrast the two / three gpeol documents they have submitted to popla and basically point it to popla that amongst many other things these statements cant be seen as being true

I agree with Enigma Part 1 - write your own rebuttal but use the examples so far as your case. Change anything not quite right in the examples you find when you search. GPEOL rebuttals are being discussed currently on about 3 or 4 Excel threads here on page 1 or 2 right now and this is getting silly, being repeated. Obviously a rebuttal has to be a fluid document in terms of it having to be adapted to suit as PPCs change what they say. Shouldn't take too long to just demolish what they say and email it to POPLA.

Ok I'll try to write my own rebuttal, the thought alone is a bit scary though!

On top of that I haven't much time as they said they'd process it on or about the 8th.

    Any assistance appreciated.

Yes but it's not exactly writing your own is it, so hardly scary? As usual, it's a bit of adapting and copying from others. I have said there are 3 or 4 cases discussing this so that's where you start (I never link such threads, deliberately so as the best forum use is when posters research & find the answers & relevant threads themselves so they can do so again later on, when looking up something else).

i think i must be stupid or something. having spent 2 hrs searching the forums and reading threads I still cant find anything that I can confidently say is a rebuttal that i can take and tweak. there are lots of 'appeal drafts' etc etc and there are various people saying theyve had a v2 of the Excel GPEOL document.

the best matches i can find are:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5027585
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5039153
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5077063

i dont expect anyone to write my doc for me, but a gentle push towards a relevant document would be appreciated...i guess i need to email this tomorrow as thats the date they gave me....

    thanks.

But what about the Excel cases on page one and two right now? No need to search - I did mention there are others from today.
