ive also drafted a letter to the DVLA as per the guidelines on the forums.

So to summarise, ive put in an appeal to which EP say they cant process until they have keeper name etc, ive emailed BPA and im about to email DVLA.

What else do I need to do / what do I do next? Do I now just a sit and wait for a personal response from EP???

UPDATE: just had a reply from BPA requesting copy of appeal I sent in and copy of response I got back. I have emailed these to them.

and heres the reply I got from BPA:

You have received their standard acknowledgement to your appeal. You have identified yourself as the keeper in your appeal and therefore the operator should respond to you within 35 days.

In their reply they should either accept your appeal and cancel the ticket or reject the appeal and provide a verification code for you to appeal to POPLA.

If you do not receive a reply within 35 days or you do not receive a POPLA Code, please contact me back and I will investigate the matter further.

Your charge will be frozen during the appeals process.

    * I don't think I have identified myself as the keeper at all?!?!?! have I !?!?! confused.

You were initially identified as the keeper by the DVLA following a request from the PPC as the driver did not pay for a parking ticket and evidence was gathered via ANPR.

So the letter you received was a Notice to Keeper. As you appealed and did not identify the driver, then by default you identify yourself as the keeper.

    Don't get distracted by semantics!

Nope, you're in a stronger position as the keeper. The driver has fewer options. You're just fine as you are.

Wow what a lot of fuss about Excel's standard auto-response which you should have ignored - it's just an auto-response, not their reply to the appeal!

yeh sorry about that. I guess I got worried by their statement:

If you have not already done so, please forward the following information as a matter of urgency, as we are unable to process your appeal/challenge without it:

I guess that made me think that the ball was in my court and that I had to do something about it...
