I don't mind the idea of P.A/gopher jobs if I know it's the route into an industry in which I can gain experience. I'm also looking at transferable skills and such. My plan is to work towards creative project managing as I want to work in non-profit/creative workshops.

Are there many opportunities round your way for that?

I know that'll most likely be a freelance or self-employed type of thing but currently need the steady income and experience to get to a point where I'm going it alone.

    So creating your own non-profit?

    There's a difference between:
From X to Y: Charity work
    and
From X to Y: Spent my time working with the lesser-spotted chav in it's native habitat. I learned...

One ends up being 4 pages long... ;)

Of course if the work is working with the greater-spotted chav, you may wish to leave it in.

My plan tomo night after the Ann Summers party is to finish my next set book for the course but sounds like my sister's gunning for dropping off my niece so she can go out boozing. I love my niece but I hate how my 'plans' aren't important because I'm at home.

You've probably heard this before - but it's probably because you're soft... ;)

No plans after I get home from work around 6.30pm ish Sunday but, as I say, you just don't know what other people decide. I'll definitely need to do the veg though or they'll just spoil and that's money wasted.

    Yes. It shouldn't take long.

Not that I've seen so far. Lots of the opportunities I have seen are distributed around the south of England. The Arts Council funded mostly. The Arts Council does have an office in Manchester and does take on some projects, but I think it's mostly around theatre and screenplay groups and the like.

If I work for a project that's already in operation through a NFP then I'll move south, if I end up setting up my own (which is certainly something I want to at least consider) then I may very well remain up north. I'm pretty flexible with regards to location but just not at the moment (finances are a big part of that since the majority of my budget is eaten up by debt).

I think what's more realistic is working for a current NFP (such as one funded by the Arts Council or the education centre at Royal Parks Foundation) but working on developing my own projects around that.

Very true! I will work on that for the next application. My CVs already in full on sites like Guardian and Monster etc... but I've never heard anything back other than temp support work/shift work type jobs as I've had experience in mental health. At least I know there'll be a job if I one day can't take it and walk out.

That must be the consensus. How else do you say "no" but a flat out "no, sort your own !!!! out" that doesn't come across as soft??

To get myself out of the house and away from negative thoughts, I volunteered to help my aerial swing tutor paint her studio. Was actually a nice change and the only thing I spent was 60p on a big bottle of water as I didn't prepare for it. My bus pass covered the two buses up there and two buses back.

My aerial course starts on Monday! Be nice to get back to it.

I'm also mulling over the idea of walking to work a couple of times a week. It won't change expenditure as my bus pass covers four weeks but it's been a while since I've walked to or from work. It'd take me about 1 hour 30 according to google maps, which sounds about accurate. May have to pull my trainers out of the back of the shoe cupboard...

I'm yet to create a fitness plan I stick to. It's not so much that I can't do it, as I often manage fine, but I seem to have become pretty darn lazy/unmotivated when it comes to fitness. I don't see myself as being lazy and, when I look at how I imagine my life to be, I see myself as being healthy and active, but something stops me doing that now. Incredibly frustrating.

She finds things to amuse herself that doesn't require moving off my lap. Mostly attacking my bracelet:

Well if you're setting up your own, you'll need experience in writing bids.

Yes, you can't really tailor anything on a site like that as you'll never know what to tailor it to.

It's not what you say, it's what you do. If you end up doing it anyway, it doesn't matter what was said to get there.

Essentially looking at ways to further reduce the budget since I seriously doubt I'll have the unexpected one extra week's pay and I can't rely on an income from parties.

Frugal eater, I will be! Got to make the veggies and protein pulses my priority though... but recipes that make them tasty need to be found before then.

On a side note, found a larger Sainsbury's that does stock the unhomogenised milk! Super yummy but not often I can get there :( Does freezing affect the flavour?

Tell me about it! I kept worrying about what to put in the various descriptive fields as I didn't want to rule out options, but then it sounds too broad and that in itself may put employers off... oh well.

Very true. I guess she knows my concern is hurting my niece's feelings if she just turns up with her and drops her off. A lot of the time I'm forced to bend the truth by saying I'm "busy" implying that I'm not at home. If Mum's dealing with her, it's better as she has no qualms with outright lying and saying I'm out. It's just not in my nature. Fortunately she rarely talks to me directly :P If she actually turns up in person today to see Mum though... :o

It affects the texture. Essentially unhomogenised milk is skimmed milk with single cream floated on top. Freezing tends to break the cream down into small flakes of "pre-butter" suspended in the liquid. It no longer mixes well into the milk when you shake it, and resembles sort-of a fatty sludge.

I'm fine drinking it (I'm drinking some accidentally frozen stuff now), but you may find it unpalatable depending on how sensitive to texture and high-fat drinks you are.

I'll give it a miss then and just pick it up when I can but alternatively go for the full fat jersey if I can't get the unhomogenised. Not very good with texture. I still have issues "eating" soup... Doesn't stop me trying though.

Houmous is actually a big break through for me - I actually really like it now! Took me years...
