Sorry nat, I missed the bit about the phone, I think it was when we had all the !!!!s from the spammer.

I really, just my opinion and no judgement, don't see how you can be so aggressive on your money saving ( you amaze me:)), then contemplate spending that much on a phone, when there are alternatives out there. Great info from Kev:T. What will 6 do that 4 or 5 won't do? Will anotehr brand of phone do - or do you have a mac and what to remain apple? My phone is paid for by work, so I can't give proper advice other than 650 sounds expensive along with the sim etc.

Haha, there's a reason I would never bake a Xmas cake this early:o, you are such an organised person.

    Have a nice weekend.

I might be a bit late as you could have already purchased your iPhone 6 already.

But, in case you haven't, I would suggest looking elsewhere if you're wanting to hit your £10k for the turn of the year.

I'm a massive fan of Apple, but the technology on the iPhone 6 is equivalent to other phones that have been on the market since 2012. These phones are a LOT cheaper and would see you adding £100's to your savings.

Personally, I'm too set in my ways to change from Apple, so I always buy the handset that has just become 'old' when the new one comes out.

My current deal is £15/month with Tesco Mobile (they use O2 network) for 600mins, 5,000 texts and 1GB of Internet usage. The iPhone 4s cost me £50 a year ago, and now I am keeping an eye on prices for both the 4s and 5 in the hope I can sell my 4s on eBay and buy a new 5 as companies are trying to get rid of them with the demand of the 6. If I can get a 5 for £200 (seen them reconditioned with a 1 year warrant on eBay for £250 so far) and get £75 for my 4s (going for between £50-£100 depending on condition on eBay), I'll be happy - and far better off than if I got a 6.

Good luck; really enjoying reading your diary.

Thank you for your advice, much appreciated :) But...just like you, im an apple fan and wont be persuaded! I have held off for years and had crap phones until 2.5 years ago and I gave in and signed up to a 4s on contract. I fell in love but the 3G just doesnt work and im losing lots of earning potential.

Dont worry, Im glad the boards are back to normal! Im an apple lover now, I've had crap phones for years and only gave in 2.5 yrs ago. The thing is with apple, all the earning apps available use iOS. This year so far I have made £137 from my phone alone and thats just from it being apple. The complete total is £206. Also, my sister is off travelling again, my brother lives in Texas and so we use facetime a lot. I know theres viber and skype but they arent very reliable. I know its not very MSE but I wouldnt just buy it, I'd use cashback sites ect. I'll hold out for a few months and see if I can get a good deal on O2.

    Thanks for your advice :)

£19.10 from ebay this morning :)

Not spending half as much on food now that the children are having something light for dinner. But any saving are probably cancelled out now that I attend Slimming World! I've tried to diet on my own for years with some success...only to put it all back on! Need a bit of moral support this time round.

    I have some BIG news...

The Boy passed his 11+!!!! Im so, so very proud of him. I hugged him so tight and had a little cry :o Proud Mummy!

Yay well done boy Nat:T. It'll all be worthwhile when he's a brain surgeon and keeps his mother in the manner to which she'd like to be accustomed:D.

Money has slowed down dramatically. Ive been spending my time reading DFW boards for inspiration, but really im procrastinating...I have 2 big essays overdue :o

Bubblews payment is 12 days overdue. Ive put in a claim but I think the site is on its way out and they still owe me £160. Hmm.

Sorry for the radio silence everyone, I had family come to stay unexpectidly. They ruined my house and made me spend money I didnt want to part :( Oh well, wont have to see them for another 6 months :D

Ive done my financials for the next 3 months and it looks like if everything goes to plan, I will be £850 off my £10k target for the year. This is annoying me so im going into savings overdrive!! Bubblews payments have been paid so Im feeling good about that, not much left to ebay but so clothes some i'll have to think of something else....

    Hope you are all well?

Nat that's great:T. I know you are disappointed that you might be shy of your 10k target, but that is still a fantastic achievement.

I have no family and it suits me:D

I bought a steamer to use on my shower, its a power shower with 7 outlets and its really hard to clean. Tried out the steamer and its made it shiny but still dirty. The grout is still discoloured and im not too happy with the steamer...so ive taken it back. I'll move the money over to my savings when it hits my account.
