At least matttye seems to understand what I’ve been driving at. Perhaps I just haven’t been as clear or eloquent about it as he has.0

You didn't say that, you said 'the poor blonde' which is sexist in this context.
A blonde woman who has no money is a poor blonde. It is not my problem if you if you are unable to accept this.
It is also not my problem if you are unable to accept anything but your own opinion.0 -

If she was black, would you have said ‘the poor black’? If the answer is no, and I’d like to think it would be, then the same thing goes for using 'blonde' in that context as well.
On the contrary, I respect everyone’s right to an opinion. I came on here to give mine, to challenge those who were indignant at the very thought that someone might have a different outlook on this matter and to state that I thought the people who made assumptions & accusations about the OP were out of order.0 -
Have to say that the slanging match is getting a bit tedious now.0

Indeed, I think everyone's made the points they wished to make now.0 -

Would you go back once you've realised their mistake, a week later, to return the ill-gotten gains?
Yes, absolutely. Are you suggesting that you would not?0 -
Hi all
I am in a similar problem, I have been credited with £98 into my account with the creditation saying BACS payment. Not sure who it's from!
I've heard many stories of people receiving money and being reprimanded for it. The bank have said to wait 72 hours (as that's how long it takes for the bank to realise its mistake) then I can keep it. However I'm not to sure about that? Should I get that in writing perhaps ?
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Is "BACS payment" the entire transaction description?
Were you due a tax refund, did you shop via a cashback site, is it an extra payment from your employer?
Who told you you can keep it after 72 hours?0 -

Any good current accounts/savings accounts with The Bank of Spam?
Do they send out monthly tins of Spam as interest?
