Buying new washing machine, don't want soap drawer on the left !

This may sounds like a weird question, but here goes....
Does anyone know of a washing machine brand/model to buy that does not have the soap dispenser on the left hand side?
The reason is that our kitchen is designed so that where the washing machine has to go there is limited space on the left side as it is in a corner. This is okay with our existing (very old) washing machine as there is enough room to open the soap dispenser out, but it is very tight. We now need to buy a new washing machine, but I am worried that with a new machine may not be able to open the soap drawer - and of course you can't try them out for size first before buying!
A soap drawer in the middle or on the right hand side would solve the problem, but every machine I look at has the soap drawer right on the left hand side.
Anyone know of any solutions?

Maybe they're like cars and if you buy abroad the controls come on the other side :rotfl:0

Do you need to use the soap drawer? Could you use detergent that you put in the machine drum instead?0

We recently went machine shopping and must admit didn't notice any with the dispenser on the right.....0

That is an interesting solution that I hadn't thought of!
What about using fabric conditioner though? and also I want to dye some towels in the machine which instruct you to put the dye and salt in the drawer....
I will bear this in mind as a last resort though!
Thanks!0 -

I actually find it awkward being on the left for another reason, because I am disabled and my left hand doesn't work properly, so I'd really like the choice even if we didn't have the kitchen design issue!
They don't seem to make them with the choice though.....0 -

The dylon machine dye that I had was put in the drum with the salt on top.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

If you have enough room currently to use the dispenser then I can't see an issue, it doesn't matter if you can't pull the draw out all the way as long at there is room to put the powder in which you have at the moment.
You will have to watch how the draw opens you will need one that pulls straight out, mine opens in a curved shape which wouldn't be suitable as you might not be able to get to all the compartments.
The only issue would be the taking it out completely to clean but if you use mostly detergents that go straight in the drum then you wouldn't need to clean it that often.0 -
I've seen hotpoint machines where the drawer is on the left but it swings out on a hinge rather than pulling out in the normal way. This might help if clearance is limited on the left side?0
