She said "that as the carpark was no longer owned by Lidl it was nothing to do with them".I said we will see about that ! So Euro Car Parks approached Lidl offering them money - a management fee - to take over the running of their carparks. Anything over and above the fee by way of fine revenue is therefore bunce to their P/L.
So the manager was lieing. Lidl do still own the car park. Need to pull them up on such lies.

This seems similar to <can't_remember_which,_was_it_Liverpool?> Airport, where is has been shown that the incumbent PPC pay the airport a fat fee for the opportunity to "farm" it for parking charges. A sharper and more dishonest way to run a business is rare to see, and the airport/Lidl should be thoroughly ashamed effectively to take Blood Money from Euro.

I would ignore all appeals and let them try court. It would be a laugh.

Agreed - but don't say who was driving. You are waiting to appeal as KEEPER remember - so shouting about who was driving to Lidl wasn't a good plan. And if you were going to complain to Lidl why not complain to the CEO - after all his email address and name are posted in 'Successful complaints about PPCs' (a sticky thread in the 3rd thread by Crabman on the forum)...along with loads of examples of where proper complaints to CEOs have worked. If you are going to rant and complain, then rant carefully without saying who was driving, and rant to the top banana.

I don't agree with parking "fines" but you parked in a parent and child without a child and disrespected the parking attendant and expect us to believe all 71 year olds can't afford £90 ?? Get a grip...

Parent and child bays are utter bolleaux and deserve to be "abused". Likewise sad parking "attendants" in dirty Macs measuring childrens' height or taking photos of them or whatever codswallop they get up to.

Anyway, Euro Car Parks at Lidl? There's a turn-up. I've been trying to get a ticket from Euro down at my local Sainsbury's for weeks but they just won't play, and I've now got three pretty-incendiary single-point appeals I want to stuff down PoPLA's throat. But there's a Highview site about 10 miles away, guess I'll have to try them instead.

Agreed - although in practice I still wouldn't abuse them. But it is shocking how parents with kids think they have a right to a special bay 'just like disabled bays' !! In fact some parent posters here have even posted daft stuff like 'there were no P&C bays free so I parked in a disabled bay'!

Do people not realise why P&C bays exist? Stupid gimmick to get parents to use that Supermarket. End of. That's why there are no 'P&C' bays in real life (on street). Because it's a figment of a Supermarket suit's imagination and all the others copied it to try to win the battle for the most gimmicks to attract families.

Then they ruined it all by inviting PPCs in to the car park!

I think you should still write to the top banana at Lidl. They need to know that they have lost your custom, and why.

My baby is now a 26 years old and when she was in need of a child seat I had a large Jaguar, Merc and a large BMW. I never had a problem before P&C bays getting her out of the car. :)

I agree it's easier, but not essential! ;)
