How Lidl treats it's loyal customers !! I have been a customer of Lidl in Chepstow for 13 years ! Four and a half weeks ago I parked in a mother and child parking space (there were 4 others vacant) dashed into the store - as I was in a rush, shopped, came out after 8 minutes to find that some amazingly ugly female creature wearing a Hi Viz vest had stuck a ticket on my 14 year old Jaguar.I approached her and we had "a few words".All "Brain of Britain" could say was that I had to ring the number on the ticket.Instead of that I sent the ticket with a letter to The Manager, saying that it was a mistake - not to be repeated - and in view of my loyalty to..please let me off.I heard nothing from anybody.I then sent a further letter this time to The Regional Manager again I heard nothing. This morning I spoke to the acting Manager (who knew all about the letter) telling her I was NOT GOING TO PAY THE FINE ! Guess what she said. She said "that as the carpark was no longer owned by Lidl it was nothing to do with them".I said we will see about that ! So Euro Car Parks approached Lidl offering them money - a management fee - to take over the running of their carparks. Anything over and above the fee by way of fine revenue is therefore bunce to their P/L.Well they are not going to screw me I can assure you.Thank you MSE for all the valuable info you have here on the site in respect of cowboy parking operators it will be of great use to me ! As to how Lidl treats it's loyal customers - well - I'll leave that up to you to decide.

I don't agree with parking "fines" but you parked in a parent and child without a child and disrespected the parking attendant and expect us to believe all 71 year olds can't afford £90 ?? Get a grip...

Parent and child bays have no legal relevance on private land!
Scrooze247, as I intimated before, I am concerned about when you got the PCN. You only have a limited time in which to appeal. And you need to do this if Lidl are being a PITA about cancelling charge.

Read the newbie thread and for off the appeal as per post 1. It will probably get rejected then come back for more help if you need it.

Remember mitigating circumstances I.e. What happened are not relevant to appeal. It is about the legal reasons for an appeal that will mean you won't have to pay this excessive amount.

All the time you are talking to Lidl, the clock is ticking on your appeal.

You don't appeal to the manager, you have to appeal to Euro Car Parks, so please answer my question. When did you get the PCN?

You have not yet actually appealed the ticket. The manager can get the ticket cancelled, by contacting the PPC, but if he does not then you have to appeal direct to the PPC.

The ticket was actually put on the windscreen on the 5th July.I thought that I have to wait for "the who is the keeper" letter from Euro.No ? Anyway,as I said, I don't have the ticket anyway.

Phew. Yes wait for the notice to keeper.
I have to say you should never have passed the ticket over to the manager really, but I do understand why you did.

So when you get the NTK, you will need to send a standard appeal as written in the newbie thread. You will have to appeal as registered keeper and not as driver.

Am much happier now I know you have the time to read up and appeal.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

Having still not had even the courtesy of a reply from either your Chepstow Manager nor yourself to my previous letters,I thought it would be appropriate to show you below my first posting – this one on Money Saving Expert who are conducting a national campaign against cowboy car park operators the like of which you have at your Chepstow Branch.
