No, one is a criminal matter. I'd have thought even an ambulance chaser would know the difference.

Drive without due care is a summary only crime. This means it can only be dealt with in a magistrates court, but it is still a criminal matter.

Other summary only crimes include criminal damage under £5,000, shop theft under £200, common assault, certain public order offences, etc.

People want to see justice served when they or their loved ones are wronged. There's nothing wrong with that.

Its been dealt with according to the law, with all mitigating circumstances taken into account and the guy has probably lost his job, which now puts stress on an innocent family.

The legal system isnt perfect, but why all this blood seeking over a simple accident? The law is there to hand out fasir punishment for crimes, to STOP people taking revenge from a one sided and overly emotional point of view.

And all this business about what MIGHT have happened, if he hadnt hit the car at all, it still MIGHT have happened. Anything MIGHT have happened, but it didn't!!!

How can the law hand out a fair punishment when some of the facts taken into account were wrong in this instance?

Again, I'm not saying that the right decision wasn't a driver improvement course, just that any such decision should be reached giving regard to all of the facts.

It's nothing about revenge and I respectfully request you stop replying to me because you're not understanding the discussion at all.

Once again... Whether the punishment is "right" or not is NOTHING to do with the OP. You or I have as much say in that decision as they do.
    It's nothing about revenge

The OP's reason for caring about the punishment can only be revenge, whether they admit it to themselves or not.

We're going round in circles. I'm sure the OP has made her decision by now.

Only because you apparently refuse to accept reality on that issue.

Says the guy who has (to date) made 33 posts repeating himself (more than a page and a half of the thread)

And the regard for the OP is irrelevant. All of the 33 posts came after the OP threw his/her toys out and said he/she was off elsewhere

If that's what you want to believe, go for it.

Exactly - is there anyone better qualified to say that the thread is going around in circles?

The OP has sent me messages and she has read the whole thread.

Why would he/she want to deal with you privately after dissing the thread and publicly telling us he/she was off elsewhere prior to your entrance on stage?

    Makes you think dunnit?
