  • Hi CatLady! I dont agree with the crazy part unless you literally cannot sit down without displacing a cat.

Id just like to say great work so far, not without its sadness and challenges bit life isnt easy.

It may be an idea to put the money you save, i.e on shopping or the fuel money when you car share into a savings account so you can see it rise. I find that motivates me quite a lot to save because you can see a result. Also acquire a sealed pot (there are challenges on here about it) and put some of your loose change into it. I did it for 4 months earlier this year and had £201 and something in change that I didnt miss from day to day living. I need to invest in another actually since I hacksawed mine open..

Best of luck with everything. Will subscribe and look forward to future updates!

That is a great idea to save. I'm bad for using any 'savings' as extra money for 'stuff' A very bad habit that I intend to break! I have a piggy bank that I could use, would be nice to save for something good. Actually no, not save for something good- save as an emergency fund! I need one of those!!!

There are so many time wasters on there?! I never realised till now. So many people have asked if something is still available and when I say yes don't get back in touch?! Or arrange to come and don't turn up?! Hope your person turned up :)

Have sold 3 items though- one person took another item when she saw it in the garage :p Think she was a bit of a hoarder, she was looking at everything and asking if it was for sale!! Have got 2 more people coming round tomorrow to look at couches and Xmas tree. Hopefully both will sell and that will be a lovely £175 for those plus the £55 already :D Really pleased with that.

2 weeks to go till payday and we are doing ok. Have a night out on Saturday, going for an Indian with friends but is BYOB so shouldn't be too expensive plus we have budget for it. I'm meant to be going out next Sat for a work thing but might not go. Meeting friends tomorrow for a cheap lunch. Think that's all our plans!

Need to do some meal planning for next 2 weeks as going back into healthy eating mode (not diet- evil word!) Will probably do an online shop as stops me buying rubbish!

Hope everyone is well, am enjoying reading lots of diaries this week :)
