  • Lovely lovely news and what an incentive to get money sorted. Could you possibly be taking antibiotic or painkillers and therefore not able to drink? White lies are permissible if in a good cause.

Thank you Trixxibell :D Been drinking loads of water and eating ok, need to get more fruit and veg into the diet though!

Thanks INOD :D It turned out last night was a BYOB which myself, MIL and SIL never knew. SIL popped into shop next door for wine but I said I didn't really fancy any wine (plus I don't drink red which was what she bought) and would just have soft drinks. It would have caused a little suspicion had we been able to order cider or spirits but since we couldn't, nobody said much! A few questions but easily batted off :D

Plans today are to go and see DSD swimming, pick up a pressie for pal and just do some tidying up. Looking like we won't have much left over at payday :( Trying not to be too down about it, we (DH!!!) bought a few things that we 'needed' (I would have done without!) so is not too bad.

Just need to get to Friday payday without spending too much! Think that will be fine seeing as we don't have much anyway!

Thanks for all the support MSErs :T

  • Thanks everyone for the congratulations :)

Am back again! Been a horribly busy week. Been off today and off tomorrow though. We got paid on Friday so paid over money to debt and have updated signature. DH got paid a little less than last time so bit tighter this month. We have got a wedding next weekend so will need to keep some pennies for that. I won't be drinking though so that will help :D

Got my appointments through for seeing the midwife and scan. Not till mid October! This pregnancy business really is a lot of waiting lol Am keeping everything crossed that all goes well. Feeling pretty ok, very tired and have a really sore chest but otherwise fine! Will be 6 weeks tomorrow by my calculations :)

Am so determined to pay off this debt before baby is due. Right now, we are tracking to pay it off fully in July 2015 but want to do it earlier as I'll be on maternity leave (reminder- print off work maternity policy!) Is a great incentive, just need to work out how to raise more money.... some thoughts to remind me.....

    *Sell Xmas tree nearer Xmas
*Cancel gym membership at end of month- put money towards debt
    *Put fish tank on Gumtree
*See what I have for eBay

Tomorrow's task is to find a good home insurance deal as ours is up soon. I paid in full last year but will need to do it monthly this year. Plan is when we pay off this debt, to put aside money for yearly bills. Well, that's the plan, dunno how it'll work in practice :rotfl:

Hope everyone is doing ok, thanks for reading. Shall try a bit harder to post more often!

I missed the baby news! Congratulations :)

I'm looking for money making ideas too and insurance is up next month. I'm expecting a reminder any day. More than anything I need the time to do the necessary research (hmmm, I could be doing it now!).

Good luck with stepping up debt repayment a gear and with the healthy eating. You certainly have the motivation now :)

  • Back again after a break. Not a welcome break unfortunately as I have miscarried :( Went for an early scan and it just wasn't to be. Took some time off work and went back this week. Need to make appointment at doctors for referral to recurrent miscarriage unit at hospital as this is the 3rd time it's happened. Hopefully it will happen for us soon... Sorry for the sad start to this post...

The healthy eating has not been happening and have been eating so much rubbish! Ready to focus on it again. Debt wise we have been doing good although have used the little amount of savings we had last month on spending :( So now we have no fall back and unless we want to increase our debt then we have to be budgeting!

Got paid on Friday and this is the month we have the mortgage payment free :) as we are paid 4 weekly. Have put it aside for Christmas and have started planning and buying presents. Also cancelled our gym membership so will be £84 (I know-) better off. Packed lunches are back and meal planning happening so getting back on track. We are on holiday from Saturday and planning on a quiet week so hopefully low spends. Not got much planned for the month but next 2 months will be busy with Halloween party, christening, trip to London so lying low this month! Have paid credit cards this month and Very is now £0!!! Now to hammer the cards down. Current debt free date is June 2015 but hoping to bring that down a bit.

Focusing on our debt will help me get over what's happened as I need to keep my mind busy. After we've got rid of the debt I'm going to get some savings then look at tackling the mortgage :)
