Have any of them been since October 2012? Prior to this there was no keeper liability, also have you appealed any of them or contacted them? Finally who has given these tickets?

The way I see it is, if I was the PPC, I would take you to court. It could cost me £300 if I lost. Small beer if weighed against the potential amount I could win if I won the first ticket.

Using the victory from the first ticket, then I would do a lump small claim for say, the next 50. Or settle out of court for loads of money.

However, I am not a PPC and maybe you will get lucky, but do consider where your wife parks in the future.

In the meantime, for the tickets you have already received, then you will have to wait and see.

Just out of curiosity Fantomenk - if your wife was getting stressed out about these tickets the first time she received them, why did she continue to park where she did?

I'm not in any way saying she did anything wrong, and I don't view these invoices you have received as legitimate at all - I'm just trying to figure out the circumstances.

What are the requirements for parking where she did according to the signs?

    Is she still receiving tickets?
How recent was/is the last ticket?
Is/Was it received/issued under the same circumstances as the previous tickets?

One work around could be to challenge the last/most up to date ticket(s) and take it to Popla and use the tried and tested challenge/appeal methods on here to win at POPLA.
If all previous tickets were issued for the same thing/under the same circumstances the fact that POPLA have deemed the latest tickets to be incorrectly issued should also be applicable to all previous tickets?
    Thoughts?

With 'literally hundreds' of tickets issued, it is likely that the total of these charges comes to over £10,000.

That would take it out of the realms of the small claims track, and into a full blown County Court case with a senior judge, and a barrister representing the parking company, whose costs would be claimable against you if you lost.

Fortunately, the NHS Trusts do not have a great track record in winning these cases, google Aintree Hospitals, Trethowans, and East Kent NHS Trust to find examples of how Judges have found their charges were not a genuine pre-estimate of loss.

You could end up making legal history with this.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
