Happy Halloween everyone!
Surprise surprise, still no refund in our account :wall: DH tasked with chasing it up today.
Bought a couple of pumpkins yesterday for £1 each so carving them should keep the children out of mischief for a bitMight bake some biscuits for them to stick some spooky decorations on too.
Quiet low spend weekend planned, if the weather is ok I think we'll look to get the garden tidied up for the winter.
Skimmed my account and made a £30 CC payment yesterday, and then another £20 today. £50 down, £808 to go to get sub £30k!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

What a beautiful day!! :j
Couldn't believe how mild and sunny it was out there when I walked the dog early this morning!? Is it really November??
About to make up a picnic and a flask of hot chocolate, going to head off for a lovely long (free!) family walk. The children can run off some of the sugar and e-numbers consumed last night!
Homemade pizza and X Factor tonight, looking forward to a lazy evening!
(Still no refund. Apparently their accounts department made some kind of error so they have taken our bank details again to send it again :wall:)Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Hi PP.
Sounds as though you have a lovely day planned, I can't quite believe I am still pegging out washing, not complaining though it's saving money.
Fingers crossed that the refund comes through quickly now.0 -

Today I have discovered the MSE Competition Boards!!!!!!!
Had a very lazy Sunday sat in fleecy PJs entering competitions to win 'stuff'! Lost track of how many I have entered... even the children quite enjoyed searching for competitions for things they'd like to win! I never win anything so highly doubt a lorry full of 51" TVs, ipads, and lego will be arriving any time soon but it's been kind of fun to enter lots, a bit like a strange form of window shopping and dreaming all in one!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Morning Pink
Hope you and yours are well. Half term done and dusted and back to reality this week?
Fingers crossed you get some wins from those competitions! How fab if you do.
I know what you mean re pulling onto drive to see bright flowers, I am the same tho we haven't got any at the moment LOL. When we come to sell our house, when I am DF, that is something I will take pleasure in doing to make the house look happy and welcoming.
Great news on the payments.
Wasn't Cherly terrible on the X Factor last night, or was that just me being catty? ha!Debt - CCV £3792

Minimum CC payment came out today so a little bit more off the debt.
Having a bit of a freezer week food wise, and actually it's quite nice to be able to simply defrost and reheat healthy homemade meals without having to go to the effort of cooking them!!
I'm on top of all my housework this morning so a productive full day working planned.
Frosty out there this morning! Take care on the roads everyone!Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061

Feel as though the first week in November has flashed by in the blink of an eye! A quarter of the way through the month already.
Skimmed £50 out of my account yesterday... another £684 to find to get under £30k this month. Planning to work my socks off next week!
Have some friends coming over here this evening, hopefully the weather will ease up enough for us to let off a couple of little fireworks and get the sparklers out for the kids. Everyone is bringing some food and drink along so shouldn't be too pricey an evening- I'm going to make a big vat of homemade leek and potato soup to have with crusty bread. Winter get togethers are so much easier to do frugally than summer ones I think!
Have a great weekend everyone! :beer:Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061
