But then all the customers handle cash to pay and then take the change (they'll have no idea where it could have been before) then eat the food without washing their hands!0 -
Why? He made one mistake. People like you really get my back up! There's no reason to suggest it's something he always does.
If I made a mistake like that and got fired for it because of some nasty little git like you, I'd hunt you down and make you pay.
It wasnt a mistake. it was plain wrong.
you dont handle cash and then handle food simples.
Of course this never really happened and your dominant partner eats to much fast food anyway0 -

Do they?
I dont
I either make sure I dont touch the food (ie hold it with the wrapper or I wash my hands in between the transaction (if I am with someone)0 -

That's not really practical if you go somewhere like mcdonalds as the majority of their burgers come in boxes so you can't eat using the wrapper. I eat there regularly and I don't think I have ever seen someone order a meal, put it down on their table, then go to the toilets and wash their hands, then come back to eat their food.

there are serviettes available in all fast food outlets.
Isnt there an outer wrapping in the box as well?
I dont eat at them very often
I dont consider myself having a mental health issue in not wanting too touch food with dirty hands before eating it.
If you do thats your choice.
Guess you also dont have a problem with the guy behind the counter touching your food with dirty hands either0 -

I don't think running your hands with a dry serviette is going to clean them. Mcdonalds offers nothing else, apart from the washroom.
It's completely impractical to wash your hands everytime you touch money before you eat. Sometimes you've just got to accept the risk and live a bit dangerously
Obviously you're a bit of anal about hygiene. If I was you I would get one of those small bottles of hand gel and carry that around with you.0 -

I dont "run" my hands with a serviette but would use one to hold the food if i couldnt wash my hands
Its really not dificult to wash your hands in a fast food place before eating.
there is normally 2 of us on the rare occassion that we eat in one.
one pays while the other is washing their hands, then the other washes their hands when food is collected.
As said if you want to eat your food with dirty hands its up to you, my point was that not everyone does.
My wife does carry a bottle of hand gel
personal hygeine is obviously more important to some0 -

If you mean 'official complaint worthy' then not really - unless you're one of 'those' people who complain about everything.
All that was needed was the op to tell the guy, hey look you didn't wash your hands after handling my money - can you do so then make me a new one please.'
Simple. Polite. Effective.
Also doesn't needlessly get someone in trouble.0 -

Why didn't you not go to the Booths supermarket round the corner and get one of their great sandwiches?
So much healthier for you and they have some great flavours. I love shopping in Booths.
Booths is disgusting. And what are you, the health police? He didn't go to Booths because he fancied a Burger King.0 -

"It wasn't a mistake. it was plain wrong" How very contradictory of you.
Grow up you petulant little imp, or I'll spank your behind. After washing my hands of course
Oh and go seek help for your mental issues0
