Most companies are now changing their customer service numbers from 0844 to 03 numbers including Sky, Argos and many more.

Your 0844 number is not a local rate as when I phone a local number I do not pay these extortionate prices, that is my reason why I will not use companies that use these numbers.

It may be charged at a local rate but it looks expensive. Stating call costs on your site may help. It wouldn't stop me buying from you but I wouldn't contact you by phone.

If you want to find out call costs, I would speak to your service provider. The company doesn't set the call costs for 0844/0845 number, the service provider does.

Appreciate the feedback, but I'm pretty such the charges for calling our number are about 50% lower than the figures you stated with no connection cost. I will verify this on Monday as we make no money from anyone calling us and do our absolute best to minimise any costs for customers.

Just an update to say that thanks to feedback from this forum we are installing a standard geographical number form now on. :beer:
